President Trump issued another warning to the approaching migrant caravan Thursday; telling the undocumented workers to return to their countries and apply for US citizenship like “millions of others” across the globe.
The President weighed-in on the “caravan” as thousands of migrants marched north into Mexico towards border crossings in Texas and California, saying “To those in the Caravan, turnaround, we are not letting people into the United States illegally.”
“To those in the Caravan, turnaround, we are not letting people into the United States illegally. Go back to your Country and if you want, apply for citizenship like millions of others are doing!” tweeted Trump.

The Commander-in-Chief’s comments come as approximately 1,700 migrants abandoned the caravan; citing lack of water, medicine, and extreme weather as they turned south and returned to their country of origin.
CARAVAN CRISIS: Migrant Caravan Swells to 14,000, Heads Towards USA
The migrant caravan slowly making its way towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico continued to grow in recent days, with local reporters saying the marching immigrants are now estimated at 14,000 individuals.
According to Newsweek, the “caravan” is gradually gaining more members as it makes its way north towards American border crossings in Texas and California.
“In a series of tweets, President Donald Trump has unsuccessfully urged Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to halt the migrant caravan, which is believed to have reached more than 14,000 members in southern Mexico,” writes Newsweek.
The President has routinely warned the migrants to return to their home countries in recent days, saying “We are a great Sovereign Nation. We have Strong Borders and will never accept people coming into our Country illegally!”

BORDER CHAOS: DHS Boss Says 80% of Asylum Cases ‘NOT Legitimate’
Approximately 80% of potential asylum cases at the US-Mexico border are not legitimate and don’t meet the appropriate requirements for entry into the United States, said the Director of Homeland Security Wednesday.
DHS Boss Kirstjen Nielsen was speaking with Fox News when she outlined the stunning statistics; adding roughly 20% of asylum seekers are eventually granted resident-status by federal immigration judges.
“The way the system works right now the threshold under law is so low that about 80 percent pass that initial interview, but only 20 percent are granted asylum by a judge, which tells us that 80 percent of that is either just a flat-out fraud or somebody who thinks they can come here because they want a job here,” said Nielsen.
“That’s not asylum. Or ‘I want to reunify with my family.’ That’s not asylum. ‘I just want to come to the United States’ — not asylum. We have legal ways to do that, but it’s not through asylum,” she added.
The Director’s comments come just days after the so-called ‘Migrant Caravan’ of Central American immigrants arrived at the US-Mexico border, with many seeking asylum in the United States.
