Congresswoman Jayapal launched a public tirade against the Attorney General just hours after his hearing on Capitol Hill; saying he’s the President’s “personal henchman” who gets “activated” when necessary.
“The single thing that emerges time after time, is that Bill Barr has always been -and will always be- the henchman for Donald Trump. He acts as his personal attorney to get things done. Donald Trump activates him when he needs something done,” said Jayapal.
“He’s using the Justice Department on every level without regard to equal justice under the law. That’s really clear over and over again,” she added.

BOOKER on VIRUS: Feds Must ‘Move People Out of Detention Centers,’ End ‘Detention of Immigrants’
Sen. Cory Booker recently introduced a bill that would release illegal immigrants from federal detention centers during the Coronavirus pandemic; saying it’s “really a matter of life and death.”
“Democrats, however, are taking the opposite approach. Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., have introduced a bill that would release immigrants in detention into the country, and halt any immigration enforcement against anyone not deemed a ‘significant’ threat to public safety,” reports Fox News.
“We have an obligation to do everything we can to prevent the spread of this deadly disease, and that means moving people out of detention centers when they do not pose a public safety risk,” Booker said in a statement. “This is really a matter of life and death: it’s time that we act quickly and decisively to save as many lives as possible, and that means ending the unnecessary detention of immigrants during this public health crisis.”
“The Supreme Court ruled that children, undocumented children should have a right to education in our country. Why not then should citizens’ children, children in taxpayers’ families, not have the opportunity to the checks that they need?” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said on a press call this month.

BUSTED! ‘Medicare for All’ Sponsor Admits New Plan Would Eliminate ‘1 MILLION JOBS’
Rep. Pramila Jayapal publicly admitted this week that her ‘Medicare for All’ proposal would result in the elimination of more than one million jobs across America; saying the government would have to help those workers “transition” to other industries.
Jayapal was speaking at a town hall event at American University when she was asked how workers in the private insurance industry would survive under the new plan.
“There are a lot of people who work in the private insurance industry,” Jayapal said. “We have thought carefully about how we’d take care of those folks because we think those people are very important.”
“There’s about a million people that we think would be displaced if ‘Medicare for All’ happens. We have set aside one percent a year of the total cost of the bill for five years to take care of a transition for employees in the private insurance sector,” she added.
