Vice President Kamala Harris was quickly reminded of her past as a district attorney when she tried to post a message about marijuana on X this week. Harris posted “Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed.”
X’s Community Notes squad jumped into action.
“As district attorney, Kamala Harris oversaw 1,900 convictions for marijuana offenses, some of which resulted in jail time,” Community Notes wrote under the Harris post.
Conservative X account End Wokeness shared the screen grab.

And, of course, X users started to pile on.
Mosaic of Kamala Harris made out of all the Black men she locked up and kept in prison past their release date for cheap prison labor.
