BAD ADVICE: Mayor Pete Buttigieg Reportedly HUDDLING with HILLARY in Recent Days
South Bend, Indiana Mayor and rising Democrat presidential contender Pete Buttigieg reportedly met with Hillary Clinton in recent days; huddling with the twice-failed candidate at her New York City office.
“Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg sat down with Hillary Clinton on Tuesday,” reports The Hill. “Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., who has been recently surging in the polls, requested the meeting, the sources say.”
Clinton has also met with several top-tier candidates including Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Cory Booker.
Buttigieg has surged in recent polling and now trails Former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders; largely eclipsing better-known politicians including Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, and Beto O’Rourke.

BERNIE BLASTS OFF: Sanders Takes the Lead in Latest Democrat Poll, Buttigieg on the Rise
A new poll released Monday shows Vermont Senator and self-described Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders taking the lead among potential presidential nominees; topping former Vice President Joe Biden for the first time.
According to Emerson Polling, Sanders was the preferred pick by 29% of likely Democrat voters; followed by former Vice President Biden at 24% and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 9%.
Rounding out the top five were Beto O’Rourke and Sen. Kamala Harris at 8% each.
“While still early in the nominating process, it looks like Mayor Pete is the candidate capturing voters’ imagination; the numbers had him at 0% in mid-February, 3% in March and now at 9% in April,” adds the report.
“Biden has seen his support drop. In February, he led Sanders 27% to 17%, and in March the two were tied at 26%. Now, Sanders has a 5 point lead, 29% to 24%,” says the survey.
