Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar ended her race for the White House Monday; throwing more confusion into the election as Democrats nationwide prepare to cast their vote during Super Tuesday’s 16 contests.
“Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, who entered the Democratic presidential race with an appeal to moderate voters and offered herself as a candidate who could win in Midwestern swing states, has decided to quit the race and endorse a rival, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., according to a person close to Ms. Klobuchar,” reports the New York Times.

“Ms. Klobuchar will appear with Mr. Biden at his rally in Dallas Monday night. The decision comes one day after former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Ind., departed the race, and after weeks of Democratic Party hand-wringing about a crowded field of moderate candidates splitting a finite field of centrist votes, allowing Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont to march forward unopposed among progressives and amass delegates,” adds the Times.

BAD ADVICE: Hillary Reportedly Met with Biden, Klobuchar on 2020 White House Bids
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held private meetings with former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Amy Klobuchar in recent days; offering advice to both potential Democratic candidates heading into the 2020 election season.
“Hillary Clinton held meetings in early February with former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar to talk about the 2020 presidential election, a source close to the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee tells CNN,” reports CNN.
The meetings reportedly took place at the former Secretary of State’s home in the nation’s capital.
The secret discussions raise new questions over Hillary’s potential role in the upcoming Democratic primary process and the general election next November.

DEMS DIG IN: Sen. Klobuchar Says America ‘Needs Universal Healthcare’
Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar doubled-down on her party’s recent shift towards implementing a ‘Medicare for All’ system in the United States; saying the country “needs universal healthcare.”
The left-wing lawmaker was speaking with Face the Nation this weekend when host Margret Brennan asked Klobuchar if she agrees with her fellow Democrats’ calls for a new, massive federal healthcare program.
“Former Attorney General Eric Holder says it’s time now to move to some version of Medicare for all and end this nonsense,” Brennan said. “Do you agree with him?”
“We need universal healthcare,” Klobuchar said. “There are many ways to get there. That is one of them. The other is to at least expand Medicare to age 55. There’s a number of bills that I’m part of, including allowing expansion of Medicaid, which I think is something we’re not talking enough about, that [Democratic] Senator Schatz from Hawaii is leading.”
