WHAT CLIMATE? Bernie Outspends All Other Candidates on Private Jet Travel, $1.2 MILLION in Q4 2019

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.03.20

The Bernie Sanders campaign outspent all his 2020 Democratic challengers in the final quarter of 2019 on private jet travel; raising new questions over the far-left Senator’s commitment to “climate change.”

“The most recent filing from Sanders reveals $1,199,579 in spending during the final three months of 2019 to Apollo Jets, LLC, a ‘luxury private jet charter service.’ The campaign spent an additional $23,941 for transportation to Virginia-based Advanced Aviation Team,” reports the Washington Free Beacon.

“The candidate who comes closest to matching Sanders in private jet spending was former vice president Joe Biden, whose campaign spent $1,040,698 to Advanced Aviation Team last quarter,” adds the website.

“Global climate change is real, it is caused mainly by emissions released from burning fossil fuels and it poses a catastrophic threat to the long-term longevity of our planet,” he writes on his campaign website. “The transportation sector accounts for about 26 percent of carbon pollution emissions.”

APOCALYPSE NOW: Bernie Says ‘Climate Change’ Bigger Threat to Americans than ‘ISIS or al Qaeda’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.12.19

2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders told a crowd of supporters in Iowa Sunday the changing climate poses a bigger threat to Americans than international terrorism and jihadi ideology.

“Four years ago, I came here to Iowa and I was asked, ‘What’s the major national security issue we face? ISIS or al Qaeda?’ The answer that I gave in terms of national security is climate change,” Sanders told the crowd.

Sanders continued his calls for free college and universities across the USA this week; admitting the proposal may “cost a little bit of money” but ultimately asking, “So what?”

“One of the things that we’ve got to just keep doing is thinking big and not small… There’s no reason why we don’t make these colleges and universities tuition-free. Costs a little bit of money, but so what?” Sanders told a crowd of supporters.

Sanders published a list of “rights” all Americans are entitled to “regardless of income” over the weekend; demanding “decent jobs,” free healthcare, and affordable housing for everyone living in the United States.

“Every American, regardless of income, is entitled to:

The right to a decent job that pays a living wage.
The right to quality health care.
The right to a complete education.
The right to affordable housing.
The right to a clean environment.
The right to a secure retirement,” posted Sanders on social media.

Recent polling from the key primary state of New Hampshire may spell big trouble for Joe Biden, with Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren making major gains months before voters head to the polls.

According to the latest survey from Suffolk University-Boston Globe, Biden leads the Democratic field with 21%, followed by Sanders at 17% and Warren at 14%.

That’s a 5% bump for both candidates since the second round of presidential debates.

BACK TO THE USSR: Bernie Says ‘Fossil Fuel Executives Should be Criminally Prosecuted’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.23.19

2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders continued his all-out war on the energy industry this week; saying fossil fuel executives “should be criminally prosecuted” for the “destruction they have knowingly caused.”

“Fossil fuel executives should be criminally prosecuted for the destruction they have knowingly caused,” posted Sanders on social media.

Sanders unveiled his plan to combat climate change Thursday; allocating more than $16 trillion to help the US become 100% reliant on renewable energy by 2050.

“While the Vermont senator had already endorsed the sweeping Democratic proposal to combat climate change and had teamed up with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York on climate legislation, Sanders’ climate plan provides the most detail yet on how he envisions the climate change moonshot taking shape if he is elected president,” reports USA Today.

Sanders claims the proposal will “pay for itself” over a 15 year period; requiring more than 20 million new jobs.

“Climate change is a global emergency. The Amazon rainforest is burning, Greenland’s ice shelf is melting, and the Arctic is on fire. People across the country and the world are already experiencing the deadly consequences of our climate crisis, as extreme weather events like heat waves, wildfires, droughts, floods, and hurricanes upend entire communities, ecosystems, economies, and ways of life, as well as endanger millions of lives. Communities of color,  working class people, and the global poor have borne and will bear this burden disproportionately,” writes Sanders.

The proposal aims to: Create a climate justice resiliency fund, decarbonize the shipping industry, replace all shipping trucks, end greed in our energy system, and expand the climate justice movement.

“The scope of the challenge ahead of us shares similarities with the crisis faced by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the 1940s. Battling a world war on two fronts—both in the East and the West—the United States came together, and within three short years restructured the entire economy in order to win the war and defeat fascism. As president, Bernie Sanders will boldly embrace the moral imperative of addressing the climate crisis and act immediately to mobilize millions of people across the country in support of the Green New Deal. From the Oval Office to the streets, Bernie will generate the political will necessary for a wholesale transformation of our society, with support for frontline and vulnerable communities and massive investments in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and a transformation of our transportation system,” adds the statement.
