The first Joint Session of Congress in President Trump’s second term will take place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET.
Trump will highlight his first 100 days in office and outline key priorities of his early administration. Topics will include the economy, foreign policy, foreign aid, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, immigration, crime, and other domestic issues.
Senator JD Vance and much of the federal government are expected to attend. While this is not an official State of the Union address, it closely resembles one, as it is a formal Joint Session of Congress with the President invited to speak.
