HARRIS HITS THE BRAKES: Kam Cancels California Tour Stops Amid Taxpayer-funded Security Questions

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.11.26

According to a New York Post report, former Vice President Kamala Harris has abruptly canceled several major California stops on her book tour, shelving appearances in Sacramento, San Diego, and Anaheim that had been scheduled for next month.

The events were part of Harris’ nationwide tour promoting her memoir, “107 Days.”

Ticket holders for the canceled appearances — billed as “A Conversation with Kamala Harris” — were notified by Ticketmaster that the events had been scrapped due to a “scheduling conflict.” Refunds were issued automatically.

Harris’ final California appearance on the tour took place March 3 in Oakland.

The now-canceled stops had been planned for April 4 in Sacramento, April 6 in San Diego and April 10 in Anaheim, but all three events have been removed from Harris’ website.

It remains unclear whether the appearances will be rescheduled.

The cancellations come as Harris continues her national tour, with upcoming events still planned in Denver on April 2, followed by stops in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia later in April.

At the same time, questions have emerged about the cost of providing security for the former vice president’s book tour.

According to a report by KCRA, dozens of California Highway Patrol officers have been reassigned since September to provide security for Harris as she travels across the country — and in some cases overseas.

State officials have not disclosed how many officers are assigned to the detail or the total cost to taxpayers.

But Republican Assemblyman Tom Lackey, a former CHP officer with 28 years on the force, suggested the price tag could be substantial.

“All I know is it’s a lot, it is a significant amount of money,” Lackey told KCRA.
