WARREN: Green New Deal is ‘About Fighting for Economic Justice’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.18.19

Rising 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren doubled-down on her demands for the ‘Green New Deal’ Monday; saying the radical proposal is “about fighting for economic justice” for American workers.

“The Green New Deal isn’t just about fighting climate change. It’s about fighting for environmental and economic justice. American workers can lead the global effort to end the climate crisis, build a green new economy, and create more than a million good jobs here at home,” posted Warren on social media.

A new report from the Wall Street Journal is shedding dramatic new light on Elizabeth Warren’s economic proposal; saying her recently revealed tax plan could bring rates over 100% for wealthy Americans.

“Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has unveiled sweeping tax proposals that would push federal tax rates on some billionaires and multimillionaires above 100%,” writes the Wall Street Journal.

“That prospect raises questions for taxpayers and the broader economy that experts are starting to ponder: Under which circumstances would taxpayers have to pay those rates? How might that change their behavior? And would investment and economic growth suffer?” adds the report.

A PLAN FOR THAT? Elizabeth Warren Unveils $1 TRILLION Plan to Fight ‘Environmental Racism’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.10.19

Democratic frontrunner Elizabeth Warren unveiled her latest policy proposal regarding climate change this week; calling for $1.5 trillion in new spending to combat “environmental racism.”

“In 1987, the United Church of Christ’s Commission on Racial Justice commissioned one of the first studies on hazardous waste in communities of color. A few years later –  28 years ago this month – delegates to the First National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit adopted 17 principles of environmental justice. But in the years since, the federal government has largely failed to live up to the vision these trailblazing leaders outlined, and to its responsibilities to the communities they represent,” writes Warren.

“From predominantly black neighborhoods in Detroit to Navajo communities in the southwest to Louisiana’s Cancer Alley, industrial pollution has been concentrated in low-income communities for decades,” she adds. “The Green New Deal will involve deploying trillions of dollars to transform the way we source and use energy. In doing so, the government must prioritize resources to support vulnerable communities and remediate historic injustices.”

Almost There: Elizabeth Warren Says She’s ‘Close’ to Figuring Out How to Pay for Health Plan

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.21.19

Senator Elizabeth Warren said she’s “close” to revealing how she plans on financing her universal health program over the weekend; responding after months of refusing to acknowledge whether the proposal would raise taxes on the middle class.

“I’ve been working for a long time on this question about what the cost will be and how to pay for it, and I’m getting close,” Warren told reporters on the campaign trail in Iowa.

Warren has repeatedly come under fire from her Democratic colleagues for refusing to release specifics on how she will fund her proposals.

Earlier this month, the Senator called for $1 trillion in new spending to combat “Environmental Racism.”

“In 1987, the United Church of Christ’s Commission on Racial Justice commissioned one of the first studies on hazardous waste in communities of color.
