DNC Chair Tom Perez left American voters scratching their heads this week; mocking those in the country who get their information from “Fox News and the pulpit.”
Perez was speaking with supporters in Washington, DC Wednesday at a ‘Demand Justice’ rally; saying he’s recently learned that millions of Americans are informed only by “Fox News, their NRA newsletter, and the pulpit on Sunday.”
“[W]e all have to make sure we’re fluent in what’s happening across our ecosystem so that we can come to each other’s defense, because we need to build a bigger orchestra,” he said. “They’ve had a big orchestra for some time, and they’ve got the megaphones to amplify it, whether it’s Sinclair at a local level, Fox at a national level.”
“I’ve learned this from the outreach we’ve done at the DNC. Why aren’t we penetrating, I asked. And I had someone in northwestern Wisconsin tell me, ‘you know what, for most of the people I know, their principle sources of information are Fox News, their NRA newsletter, and the pulpit on Sunday,’” added Perez.
DEMOCRAT DENIAL: Pelosi, Perez BLAST Booming Economy as ‘RECKLESS’ and ‘RAW DEAL’
The Democratic Party continued to double-down on its predictions of “doom and gloom” surrounding the soaring US economy Friday; slamming June’s positive jobs report that showed a record number of Americans taking part in the labor force.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi blasted the strong numbers as a “raw deal” on social media, saying “The June #JobsReport shows what is at stake from the brewing storm of rising health costs, spiraling trade uncertainty & an economy being hollowed out to enrich big corporations & the wealthiest 1 percent.”

DNC Chair Tom Perez echoed Pelosi’s comments Friday, saying President Trump’s “reckless policies are hurting millions of hardworking families.”
“With slow wage growth, rising health care premiums, and skyrocketing gas prices across the country, Donald Trump’s reckless policies are hurting millions of hardworking families,” said Perez in a written statement.
“Trump and Republicans in Congress have been so determined to undermine workers that they held a Supreme Court seat hostage for nearly a year in order to nominate an aggressively anti-union justice, who became the deciding vote in last week’s disgraceful decision in the Janus case,” he adds.

DNC DENIAL: Tom Perez Says Trump’s Economy ‘Leaving Working Families Behind’
Chair of the Democratic National Committee Tom Perez threw cold-water on Friday’s sizzling economic statistics over the weekend; bizarrely saying the US recovery was “leaving working families behind” because recent wage growth isn’t “keeping up with inflation.”
“New economic numbers from Friday showed a quarter of a million new jobs, steady unemployment at a 49-year-low… Your statement in response to the numbers was ‘Too many working families have been left behind in the Trump economy.’ What are you talking about?” asked CNN’s Jake Tapper.
“I’m talking about real wage growth… We created more jobs in the last 21 months in the Obama administration than in the first 21 months of the Trump administration. People need to feel if they work a full time job they can afford to feed their families,” fired-back Perez.
