MSNBC host Chris Matthews was on the verge of tears on the day of the Iowa Caucus Monday; saying he’s “not happy with this field” and there’s no chance “Bernie Sanders is going to be President of the United States.”
“I’m not happy,” said Matthews. “I’m not happy with this field. I think they’ve got to find a candidate for President who can beat Trump. I’m still looking. They all have problems, obvious problems. Bernie Sanders is not going to be President of the United States.”
“Warren was riding high, I thought she was going to sweep, then she got a lot of scrutiny. Does this stuff add up? Guess who’s going to get it now? Bernie’s going to get it now,” he added. “Who is this guy ideologically? Why does he say the stuff he does about Maduro.”

MOMENT OF SANITY: Chris Matthews Slams ‘OUTRAGEOUS, ELITIST’ Democrats
A left-wing panel at MSNBC had a brief moment of sanity Tuesday, with network host Chris Matthews launching an all-out attack on the “elitist” Democratic Party, saying the American people have had enough of over-educated, smug politicians who think they know better.
Matthews was asked to comment on the legacy of Robert Kennedy 50 years after his assassination, saying the party had lost its way because of “too many elitists” simply out to raise money from wealthy donors.
“A true democrat, lower case ‘d,’ thinks they’re no better than anybody else. That’s what a Democrat is,” Matthews said. “And the party regains that when white, black, Hispanic people, everybody, starts to think of themselves as one of them instead of being better than them. [Then] they’ll get back to the party of the people, and they’re not there yet.”
“There’s so much elitism in the Democratic party, it’s outrageous,” he added.

UNDER THE BUS: Chris Matthews RIPS Hillary for 'Anti-White' Rhetoric
Hyper-liberal news anchor Chris Matthews lashed-out at doomed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton while promoting his new book this weekend, telling a packed audience that the Democratic party “kissed White working people goodbye” when they started “making fun” of them in the early 1970s.
The liberal MSNBC host was in Miami promoting his new book focused on the life of Robert Kennedy when he weighed-in on the 2016 presidential race; particularly Hillary Clinton’s failures among white voters in the pivotal swing-states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
“Ever since we started this Archie Bunker thing in the early ’70s, making fun of white working people, we kissed them goodbye. You make fun of people, you look down on them, they get the message. You call them ‘deplorables,’ they hear it. You bet they hear it,” said Matthews.
“You say they cling to their guns and religion? Oh yeah? I cling to my religion. OK. I’m a little person, and you’re a big person. Thank you, I’ll be voting for the other guy this time,” he added.
