TRUMP RESPONDS: President Trump Reacts to IG Report on ‘Shameful’ James Comey

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.29.19

President Trump weighed-in Thursday on the DOJ Inspector General’s scathing report on former FBI boss James Comey; saying the bureau director “should be ashamed of himself.”

“Perhaps never in the history of our Country has someone been more thoroughly disgraced and excoriated than James Comey in the just released Inspector General’s Report. He should be ashamed of himself!”

The Department of Justice’s Inspector General report into James Comey confirmed Thursday the former FBI boss violated standard procedures during his time in the Trump administration; stating he set a “dangerous example” in leaking material to the press.

“On May 16, 2017, Comey provided a separate copy of Memo 4 to Richman, who was one of Comey’s attorneys and also a close personal friend. Richman also had served as a Special Government Employee at the FBI during a portion of the time that Comey was FBI Director. Comey sent photographs of both pages of Memo 4 to Richman via text message from Comey’s personal cell phone. Comey instructed Richman to share the contents of Memo 4, but not the Memo itself, with a specific reporter for The New York Times,” the report confirms.

“By not safeguarding sensitive information obtained during the course of his FBI employment, and by using it to create public pressure for official action, Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees—and the many thousands more former FBI employees—who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information,” Inspector General Michael Horowitz writes.

“However, were current or former FBI employees to follow the former Director’s example and disclose sensitive information in service of their own strongly held personal convictions, the FBI would be unable to dispatch its law enforcement duties properly, as Comey himself noted in his March 20, 2017 congressional testimony,” he said.

'NOT HELPFUL': Secret Email Shows Strzok ‘WORRIED’ About Hillary Probe

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.20.18

Recently released emails show anti-Trump DOJ official Peter Strzok worried that former President Barack Obama’s public comments would impact the public’s perception of the ongoing Hillary email investigation.

According to Fox News, the communications show Strzok was highly concerned that the President’s statement was “not helpful” and warned the White House “there is a line they need to hold.”

“Below not helpful,” Strzok wrote to top FBI counterintelligence official. “Certainly the WH is going to do whatever it wants, but there is a line they need to hold with regard to the appearance of non-interference.”

The emails echo similar comments made in James Comey’s new tell-all book, where the former FBI chief claims Obama “jeopardized” the Hillary probe by making comments that caused many to question the administration’s role in the investigation.

“Contributing to this problem, regrettably, was President Obama. He had jeopardized the Department of Justice’s credibility in the investigation,” writes Comey.

BOMBSHELL REPORT: Steele Admitted ‘Trump Dossier’ Intended to ‘Air Dirt’ on Trump Before Election Day

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.08.19

The latest explosive report from John Solomon is shedding new light on the shady background of the now-debunked ‘Trump Dossier,’ with documents revealing Christopher Steele was given until Election Day to “air dirt” on Donald Trump.

“Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec’s written account of her Oct. 11, 2016, meeting with FBI informant Christopher Steele shows the Hillary Clinton campaign-funded British intelligence operative admitted that his research was political and facing an Election Day deadline,” writes The Hill’s John Solomon.

“And that confession occurred 10 days before the FBI used Steele’s now-discredited dossier to justify securing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page and the campaign’s ties to Russia,” he adds.
