While addressing the nation on the deadly American Airlines plane collision Thursday afternoon, President Donald Trump unloaded on the previous administration — including former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg; “That guy’s a real winner,” Trump said sarcastically.
Trump went after Buttigieg and Biden for DEI hiring policies.
“The FAA, which is overseen by Secretary Pete Buttigieg. A real winner. That guy’s a real winner. Do you know how badly everything’s run since he’s run the Department of Transportation? He’s a disaster… HE’S JUST GOT A GOOD LINE OF BULLS–T,” Trump said.
“He’s run [The Transportation Department] right into the ground with his diversity,” Trump added.
“[The] FAA website states they include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism all qualified for the position of a controller.
“The FAA — another story — determined that the workforce was too white… they actually came out with a directive — too white — and we want the people that are competent.”
