New York Democratic socialist candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders are hitting the campaign trail together Friday, stumping in Kansas to help unseat the GOP incumbent.
The liberal superstars will make two stops in Kansas this week for two congressional candidates, with Cortez traveling to Michigan later this month to help campaign for Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive candidate for governor.
“Alexandria’s victory was a proof of concept for campaigns like ours,” El-Sayed told The Washington Post.
Not all Democrats are happy with the progressive take-over, with former Senator and Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman slamming Cortez as dangerous to “America and the Congress.”
Primaries in Kansas and Michigan will take place August 7th.

DNC CIVIL WAR: Lieberman Urges Party to ABANDON CORTEZ, Says She’ll ‘HURT AMERICA’
Former Democratic Senator and Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman lashed-out at socialist challenger Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in an op-ed published this week, saying her candidacy will “hurt Congress and hurt America.”
Lieberman penned his piece for the Wall Street Journal, titled “Vote Joe Crowley, for Working Families: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hurts the party, Congress and even America” in which he urged New York Democrats to support Joe Crowley; who was defeated in the primary process by Cortez just weeks ago.
“Ocasio-Cortez’s surprise primary victory over Rep. Joe Crowley seems likely to hurt Congress, America and the Democratic Party. It doesn’t have to,” writes Lieberman.
“Because the policies Ms. Ocasio-Cortez advocates are so far from the mainstream, her election in November would make it harder for Congress to stop fighting and start fixing problems. Thanks to a small percentage of primary votes, all of the people of New York’s 14th Congressional District stand to lose a very effective representative in Washington,” he adds.
Ocasio-Cortez fired back at her critics this week, saying “People who seek substantive change are almost always told some version of: ‘you’re crazy.’”
People who seek substantive change are almost always told some version of:
– “you’re crazy”
– “you don’t know anything”
– “you’re too [old/young/quiet/loud/whatever]”To detractors, you will never be good enough. To friends, you are always enough.
So just do your thing! 💪🏽💜

LIBERAL MATH: Cortez Says UNEMPLOYMENT LOW Because ‘EVERYONE HAS TWO JOBS’
Liberal superstar and Socialist candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left economists across the country scratching their heads this week, falsely claiming that America’s unemployment rate was low because “everyone has two jobs.”
Cortez was speaking with PBS News when she was asked to comment on the healthy US economy, bizarrely suggesting “capitalism” may cease to exist in the world at some point in the future.

“The economy is going pretty strong. There’s roughly 4% unemployment. Do you think capitalism has failed to deliver for working class Americans?” asked the reporter.
“I think the numbers are part of the problem. We look at these figures and say unemployment is low everything is fine. Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs. Unemployment is low because people are working 60 hours per week and can barely feed their kids,” fired back Cortez.
According to the Bureau of Labor statistics, “People are classified as unemployed if they do not have a job, have actively looked for work in the prior 4 weeks, and are currently available for work.”
The definition has nothing to do with the amount of jobs people have, or the hours worked.
