TERROR AT THE TURNSTILE: Homeless Man Pummels Woman Who Ignored Him in NYC Subway

The New York City subways are no longer safe.

Disturbing surveillance footage has been released of a homeless man attacking a woman in the NYC subway for refusing to engage in conversation with him; the video was taken on September 20th.

“Waheed Foster, 41, is facing felony assault charges in connection to the Sept. 20 attack on a 33-year-old woman [Elizabeth Gomes],” Fox News reports. “The graphic footage, obtained by Fox News Digital, shows the man running after the woman through a Queens subway station before grabbing onto her arm and throwing her down into a ticketing counter. He then delivers several blows to the woman’s head and upper body and stomps on her.”

NYPD said officers responded at approximately 5:15 a.m. to the vicinity of 159 Avenue and Coleman Square — the Howard Beach JFK Airport station — within the confines of the 106 Precinct / Transit District 23.

“The victim got off the train…the subject followed her off the train and proceeded to push, kick and punch her about the body in an unprovoked manner,” police said. “A canvass of the area was conducted with positive results. EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.”

“He was targeting me or something” and ranting “about the devil, about … a whole bunch of stuff that you don’t even want to hear at five o’clock in the morning,” Gomes recounted as she walked with her husband, wearing sunglasses to cover her badly wounded right eye, to Queens court for a grand-jury hearing in the case.

Foster has seven prior arrests including assault on a woman with a screwdriver, criminal mischief, robbery and larceny; he’s being held without bail.

One twitter user shared the story, saying “It’s time to elect DAs that will punish criminals.”
