SUPPORT EVAPORATES: Polls Show Americans Souring on Dems’ Impeachment Inquiry

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.22.19

Recent national polling shows Americans’ support for the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry may be evaporating; with surveys revealing a drop among independent voters.

“Recent polling on impeachment indicates that independent voters are far from sold on ousting President Trump from the White House. In fact, the national surveys suggest support for impeaching and removing the GOP incumbent has deteriorated over the past month, even as the House inquiry has ramped up,” reports Fox News.

“Fifty percent of independents questioned in an NPR/PBS/Marist poll conducted Nov. 11-15 did not support impeaching and removing Trump from office, with just 42 percent backing such a move. That’s a slight dip in support compared with the previous NPR/PBS/Marist poll – conducted the first week in October – when support stood at 45 percent,” adds Fox.

“You’ve seen the polls over the last week. I’m going through the roof. In Wisconsin I’m way up over every Democrat,” said the President Friday.

BACKLASH: McCarthy, Meadows RIP Pelosi’s ‘Sham’ Impeachment Inquiry Vote

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.29.19

Representatives Kevin McCarthy and Mark Meadows slammed Nancy Pelosi’s impending impeachment inquiry vote this week; calling the entire process a “sham.”

“It’s been 34 days since Nancy Pelosi unilaterally declared her impeachment inquiry. Today’s backtracking is an admission that this process has been botched from the start. We will not legitimize the Schiff/Pelosi sham impeachment,” posted McCarthy on social media.

“House Democrats now suddenly saying they’ll vote on an impeachment resolution to ‘ensure transparency’ is rich—considering they’ve spent weeks conducting interviews in secret, leaking their own talking points while locking down any and all information that benefits the President,” added Meadows.

Original Story: October 28, 2019

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi confirmed Monday that she will call a vote to “formalize” impeachment proceedings against President Trump on Thursday.

“The resolution — which ‘establishes the procedure for hearings,’ according to a statement by Speaker Nancy Pelosi — will mark the first floor vote on impeachment since Democrats formally launched their inquiry a month ago,” reports Politico.

“We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said in a letter.

COWARDLY CLARIFICATION: Adam Schiff Says the ‘Essence’ of Mueller’s Testimony is that Trump is ‘Unpatriotic’

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.25.19

Rep. Adam Schiff weighed-in on Robert Mueller’s disastrous testimony Thursday afternoon; saying the “essence” of the former special counsel’s testimony is that “the President is unpatriotic.”

“He was a reluctant witness… Even though [Robert Mueller] was reluctant, as you can imagine, to provide the soundbite ‘the President is immoral, the President is unpatriotic,’ that is the essence of what he had to say,” clarified Rep. Schiff.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi doubled-down on her Obstruction of Justice accusations against President Trump Wednesday evening; saying the American public “must understand what President Trump is trying to cover up.”

“As we legislate for the good of the American people, we are also investigating to make sure that Americans have the truth and understand the gravity of the threat to our democracy. They must understand what @realDonaldTrump is trying to cover up,” posted Pelosi on social media.

“The American people now realize more fully the crimes that were committed against our Constitution,” she told reporters following Mueller’s disastrous appearance before Congress.

President Trump weighed-in Wednesday on Robert Mueller’s disastrous Congressional testimony; thanking the Democratic Party “for holding this morning’s hearings” and calling Rep. Adam Schiff an “embarrassment to our country.”

“I would like to thank the Democrats for holding this morning’s hearing. Now, after 3 hours, Robert Mueller has to subject himself to #ShiftySchiff – an Embarrassment to our Country!” tweeted Trump.

The New York Post Editorial Board blasted Rep. Jerrold Nadler’s Mueller hearing Wednesday; calling the entire spectacle a “waste of everyone’s time.”

“By all accounts, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler hoped that dragging in former special counsel Bob Mueller for a hearing would jump-start his drive to get going on impeachment. Oops: It was a total waste of time,” writes the Editorial Board. “Mueller made it clear long in advance that he didn’t want to testify, and wouldn’t talk about anything except what was in his report. He even got the Justice Department to issue a guidance instructing him to keep to his preferred limits.”

“What did we learn? Nothing. What’s the impact? Nothing. If Nadler was hoping to get Democrats and their voters energized about impeachment, he’ll surely be disappointed. And we’re no closer to knowing how much this long investigation relied on opposition research by Hillary Clinton and dirty tricks by intelligence operatives appalled by Donald Trump,” adds the Post.
