Far-left Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders are set to share a debate stage for the first time Tuesday; raising new questions over whether their so-called “truce” can survive a high-stakes race for the White House.
“Advisers to Bernie Sanders presented him with a memo in early 2018, outlining his biggest vulnerabilities in the event of another presidential run. They included his independent party registration, his age — and Elizabeth Warren,” reports Politico.
“The candidates themselves have largely kept things cordial. But signs of tension have trickled out. As Warren’s poll numbers ticked up, Sanders staffers took digs at her on Twitter for not participating in a Fox News town hall, while suggesting her rise was a manufactured media narrative,” adds the website.
“Bernie and I have been friends for a long, long time,” Warren said recently.
Recent polls showed Sen. Warren rising to 2nd place; trailing frontrunner Joe Biden.
“The NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey found that 26 percent of likely primary voters support Biden, while 19 percent support Warren. Trailing those two are Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Bernie Sanders(I-Vt.), who are each backed by 13 percent,” reports The Hill.
“The only other contenders who receive support from more than 1 percent of voters are South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 7 percent, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke with 2 percent and former tech executive Andrew Yang with 2 percent,” adds the site.
Warren introduced a new plan this week that would essentially “decriminalize” those caught illegally entering the United States; raising serious new questions over the Democrat’s immigration policy heading into the 2020 election.
“Entering the country without authorization has always been a violation of civil immigration law, but thanks to a former segregationist Senator, it’s also a criminal violation. This additional criminal provision is totally unnecessary for border security, and for a century, it was rarely enforced. But since the early 2000s, it has been used to build and sustain a massive immigration detention complex,” writes Warren in an op-ed published by Medium.
“In 2016, over half of all federal criminal prosecutions were for immigration violations — more than prosecutions for terrorism, organized crime, hate crimes, or financial fraud. This obsessive focus ties up federal prosecutors and overwhelms federal courts. It’s costly and unnecessary. And under Trump, it has become increasingly abusive,” she adds.

BERNED OUT: Elizabeth Warren Raises $19 MILLION; Tops Sanders' Struggling Campaign
Senator Elizabeth Warren raked-in more than $19 million in the second quarter of 2019; outpacing Sen. Bernie Sanders but falling behind Vice President Joe Biden and Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s fundraising efforts.
“The second-term Massachusetts senator is a leader of the Democratic Party’s populist left, and has sworn off high-dollar fundraisers. But she still raised more this quarter than every candidate except former Vice President Joe Biden and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigeig, both of whom have stopped for numerous big-money fundraising events on the campaign trail,” reports CBS News.
“To sum it up: we raised more money than any other 100% grassroots funded campaign,” Warren campaign manager Roger Lau said to supporters.
Warren confirmed last Thursday she supports banning private health insurance plans for all Americans; backing Senator Bernie Sanders’ ‘Medicare for All.’
“Who here would abolish private health insurance in favor of a government run plan?” asked MSNBC’s Lester Holt. “Just a show of hands.”
Warren was quick to support the massive entitlement program.
“I’m with Bernie on Medicare for All. Let me tell you why. I spent a big chunk of my life studying why families go broke. One of the number one reasons is the cost of healthcare… That leaves families with rising premiums and rising co-pays,” said Warren.
“Medicare for All solves that problem. I understand there are a lot of politicians who say it’s not possible… What they’re really telling you is they just don’t want to fight for it. Healthcare is a basic human right,” she added.

BERNIE IN BIG TROUBLE: Joe Biden Opens Up a Massive 32 POINT LEAD in Latest Poll
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders continues to fall behind former Vice President Joe Biden in recent polling, with new data showing the top Obama aide opening-up a massive 32 point lead over the Democratic Socialist.
“Former Vice President Joe Biden has a 32-point lead in the Democratic presidential race in a Hill-HarrisX poll released Monday,” reports The Hill. “Biden won 46 percent in the poll compared to 14 percent for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who came in a distant second place.”
“Biden has seen a little bit of a bump from his announcement, anywhere from 12 to 15 percentage points in most polls that I’ve seen,” said one pollster.
The two top-tier candidates were followed by South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 8% and Sen. Elizabeth Warren with just 7%.
