4:05 PM ET – Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, author of Collusion, a novel he co-wrote with Pete Early, where he takes a look at some of the most pressing questions facing our democracy. The Speaker takes a look at the big stories of the week from the China trade and tariff talks to the threats from North Korea and Iran. With 2020 right around the corner, the democrats are quick to pounce on every decision by the President. As the one speaker who unified a democratic President and Republican Congress, Newt may know something about these issues.
4:30 PM ET – John Solomon, Executive Director of The Hill, has another breaking news story for the audience today:
In all Washington investigations, the essential questions become who knew it and when did they know it.
In the case of FBI informant Christopher Steele and the credibility of his now-disproven Russia collusion allegations against Donald Trump, we have some important clarity: Government officials confirm that an October 2016 email revealing that Steele met with State Department officials — a breach of protocol for an informant if it was unauthorized — was sent to an FBI counterintelligence supervisor.
Multiple sources confirm to me that the recipient of the State Department email was Special Agent Stephen Laycock, then the FBI’s section chief for Eurasian counterintelligence and now one of the bureau’s top executives as the assistant director for intelligence under Director Christopher Wray.
The email to Laycock from Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec arrived eight days before the FBI swore to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that it had no derogatory information on Steele and used his anti-Trump dossier to secure a secret surveillance warrant to investigate Trump’s possible ties to Moscow.
5:05PM ET – Bill O’Reilly, the best-selling author of 15 instant #1 books including the #1 “Killing” series of histories, and host of the popular daily podcast “No Spin” on billoreilly.com, has written a new book on the life of Donald Trump titled “The United States of Trump: How the President Really Sees America” with never-before-released interview material. Today he talks to Sean about the constitutional crisis message that the democrats are telling their audiences is happening. But…is it really? Not exactly. At least not the way they are explaining it.
In criminal proceedings, if an American is found not guilty of a crime then charges cannot be brought again. That’s called “Double Jeopardy” and it is not permitted under our legal system.
If a prosecutor investigating a criminal allegation does not bring formal charges for whatever reason, the subject of the allegations must be considered innocent under the law. In fact, ethics dictate that investigators go out of their way to protect uncharged citizens so they will not be tainted in any way.
But now the Congress of the United States along with the press are rejecting so-called “due process,” undermining one of the pillars of the U.S. Constitution.
It began on social media when extremists put forth that “all women” must be believed when lodging allegations against men. Never mind that there is a lucrative industry set up to bring lawsuits claiming abuse and many of these cases have been found to be bogus. Nearly every corporation in America has insurance in order to fend off lawsuits demanding money for “misbehavior.”
Then came the horrendous Brett Kavanaugh hearings when sitting United States Senators like Kamala Harris and Cory Booker along with veterans like Diane Feinstein tried to convict the judge of terrible crimes based solely upon accusation. Later, the FBI found absolutely no evidence against Brett Kavanaugh but the senators who smeared him refused to apologize.
5:30 PM ET – Kevin McAleenan, Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, gives us the truth about the border battle, the assignment of Pentagon funds and the solutions needed to remedy the crisis at our southern border.
