**AN FBI MOLE IN THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN?
4:05 PM ET – David Schoen, Civil Liberties Attorney and Sara Carter, Fox News Contributor and Investigative Reporter, discuss the potential options available to President Trump to further investigate whether or not the FBI planted a mole in his campaign team. Kimberly Strassel broke this news on Thursday. Additionally, Senator Chuck Grassley is demanding that information regarding General Michael Flynn’s case be released, immediately.
The Department of Justice lost its latest battle with Congress Thursday when it allowed House Intelligence Committee members to view classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign. Even without official confirmation of that source’s name, the news so far holds some stunning implications.
Among them is that the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation outright hid critical information from a congressional investigation. In a Thursday press conference, Speaker Paul Ryan bluntly noted that Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes’s request for details on this secret source was “wholly appropriate,” “completely within the scope” of the committee’s long-running FBI investigation, and “something that probably should have been answered a while ago.” Translation: The department knew full well it should have turned this material over to congressional investigators last year, but instead deliberately concealed it. 4:30 PM ET – National Security Advisor, John Bolton, has plenty to report on with news out of North Korea, China, and Russia and the withdrawal from the Nuclear Iran deal. Additionally, there is much to celebrate as the Embassy in Israel moves to its rightful home in Jerusalem. A promise that President Trump made, and kept, while on the campaign trail.
5:05 PM ET – RNC Spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany, author of The New American Revolution: The Making of a Populist Movement and Jeffrey Lord, Former associate political director in the Reagan administration, columnist and author of the book What America Needs: The Case for Trump, join today to talk about the sanity being driven out of political coverage. Nicole Wallace anyone? Talking about choking a press secretary?
MSNBC daytime host Nicolle Wallace suggested that White House press secretary Sarah Sanders should be choked after she refused to comment Friday on a report that an aide in the administration made a dismissive remark about Sen. John McCain’s, R-Ariz., health.
On her show Friday, Wallace, who was an adviser for McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, asked NBC News’ White House reporter Kristen Welker, “How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Why can’t she just say if a staffer said that, we’re going to get to the bottom of it and she’ll be fired?”
Welker only responded that reporters at the day’s White House press briefing were “surprised” that Sanders didn’t offer more of an answer to questions about the alleged incident. (h/t Washington Examiner)
