A stunning new survey from Rasmussen reveals nearly one third of Democrats believe joining the National Rifle Association should be “illegal” following a series of mass shootings in Ohio and Texas.
“The National Rifle Association is America’s largest gun rights organization with more than five million members. But a sizable number of Democrats views it as a terrorist group and believes it should be against the law for Americans to belong to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA,” reports Rasmussen.
“Twenty-eight percent (28%) of Democrats say Americans should be prohibited by law from belonging to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA, a view shared by 15% of Republicans and 10% of uanffiliateds. Among all likely voters, 23% favor declaring the NRA a terrorist organization in their home community, while 18% think it should be against the law to belong to pro-gun rights groups like the NRA,” adds the survey.
The National Rifle Association sued the City of San Francisco this week after their Board of Supervisors labeled the Second Amendment advocacy group a “domestic terror organization.”
“The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against the city and county of San Francisco and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. It accuses city officials of violating the gun lobby’s free speech rights for political reasons and claims the city is trying to blacklist anyone associated with the NRA from doing business there,” reports Fox News.
“Corporate America has also taken a political stance on gun control in recent years. Delta Airlines ceased discounts for NRA members, and Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Albertsons chains have all asked customers to not openly carry firearms into their stores, even in states where it is legal to do so,” adds Fox.

DODGY DEBBIE: Schultz Says NRA ‘Just Shy of a TERRORIST Organization’
Florida Congresswoman and former head of the DNC Debbie Wasserman Schultz unloaded on the National Rifle Association this week; blasting the Second Amendment advocacy group as “just shy of a terrorist organization.”
The hyper-liberal Democrat was speaking with the Huffington Post when she made her startling claim; adding that the NRA was doing “everything they can” to help “perpetuate the culture of violence” found in the United States.
“The NRA is kind of just shy of a terrorist organization,” Schultz told the Huffington Post. “They have done everything they can to perpetuate the culture of violence that we have in our country with the spread of assault weapons across the nation.”
Schultz’ comments were published just hours after a “good guy” with a gun stopped a would-be school shooter in Illinois; charging at the suspected gunman within seconds of him opening fire outside the school’s gymnasium.
“With shots ringing out in the hallways of the school, he charged toward the suspect and confronted him head on,” said the Dixon Police Chief. “We are forever indebted to his courage and bravery.”

City officials in San Francisco took their war against the National Rifle Association to the next level this week; labeling the NRA a “domestic terror organization” in the wake of a series of deadly mass shootings.
The resolution -passed Tuesday evening- blames the 2nd Amendment advocacy organization for the “plague of gun violence” in the country.
“The City and County of San Francisco should encourage all other jurisdictions, including other cities, states, and the federal government, to adopt similar positions,” states the city ordinance. “San Francisco should take every reasonable step to limit those entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization.”
The NRA released a statement shortly after the Board of Supervisors passed the resolution.
“This ludicrous stunt by the Board of Supervisors is an effort to distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime, to name a few,” writes the NRA. “The NRA will continue working to protect the constitutional rights of all freedom-loving Americans.”
The development comes hours after Walmart -one of the nation’s largest retailers- discontinued the sale of handgun ammunition across the country.
“Walmart is set to end sales of handguns in Alaska and will discontinue the sale of short-barrel rifle and handgun ammunition in stores nationwide, the super chain’s president and CEO announced Tuesday afternoon,” reports Fox News. “The store said it will gear its focus toward long barrel deer rifles and shotguns, supply much of the ammunition they require and provide hunting and sporting accessories and apparel.”
“We have a long heritage as a company of serving responsible hunters and sportsmen and women, and we’re going to continue doing so,” McMillon said.

Walmart is also asking customers who live in “open carry states” to refrain from bringing guns into their stores without permission from local law enforcement and managers.
“We encourage our nation’s leaders to move forward and strengthen background checks and to remove weapons from those who have been determined to pose an imminent danger,” the statement said.
