Iconic American brewery Budweiser announced this week its new partnership with Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization that provides education scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

“40 scholarship recipients. 10 Budweiser brewers. One life-changing moment. Since 2011, Budweiser has donated $14 million to help support the families of our heroes. This summer, for every case of Freedom Reserve purchased, Budweiser is donating $1 to Folds of Honor — a non-profit that provides military scholarships to families of fallen or wounded soldiers,” writes the brewery.

AMERICA'S GAME? NFL REJECTS Pro-Veteran SUPER BOWL Ad

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.23.18

The National Football League continued to reach new lows on Tuesday; flat-out rejecting a one-page advertisement in the NFL’s official Super Bowl Program that urged all Americans to “Please Stand” during the performance of the national anthem, reports USA Today.

The ad -submitted by pro-veteran’s organization AMVETS- urged all those attending the big game to remain standing as the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ rings out inside the arena. The material was ultimately rejected by the league for violating the NFL’s commitment to avoiding “political statements” in the program.

“The Super Bowl game program is designed for fans to commemorate and celebrate the game, players, teams and the Super Bowl,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told USA Today.

“It’s never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement. The NFL has long supported the military and veterans and will again salute our service members in the Super Bowl with memorable on-field moments that will be televised as part of the game,” he added.

The NFL’s been struggling to come to terms with a disastrous 2017 postseason following months of players “taking a knee” during the performance of the national anthem. President Trump rocketed the issue into the spotlight after he called for a full-fledged boycott of the NFL until league owners demand their athletes remain standing during the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’

AMERICAN HERO: Macron Thanks World War II Veteran in Emotional Speech

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.25.18

French President Emmanuel Macron honored American World War II veterans during an emotional speech before both Houses of Congress Wednesday, saying “On behalf of France, thank you.”

Macron addressed the US lawmakers during his official state visit to Washington this week, noting the attendance of Robert Jackson, a veteran of the Second World War.

“Since 1776, we, the American and French people, have had a rendezvous with freedom. And with it comes sacrifices. That is why we are very honored by the presence today of Robert Jackson a World War II veteran. Robert took part in the D-Dday landing. He fought for our freedom 74 years ago. Sir, on behalf of France, thank you. I bow to your courage and your devotion,” Macron said.

The European leader also thanked American poet Alan Seeger who enlisted in the French army to help the ally nation during the first World War.

“This young American would fight and die on Independence Day … not far from my home town after having written these words, ‘I had a rendezvous with death,” said Macron.
