The wife of senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr was tasked with researching then-candidate Donald Trump’s children during her time at Fusion GPS, reports the Daily Caller.
“The wife of a Justice Department official who worked for Fusion GPS during the 2016 campaign told Congress in 2018 that one of her tasks at the opposition research firm was to research President Donald Trump’s children, including their business activities and travel,” writes the Daily Caller.
The report claims Mrs. Ohr was tasked with conducting background research on Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump’s business relationships and travel arrangements.
“My understanding was that Chris Steele was hoping that Bruce could put in a word with the FBI to follow up in some way,” she told Congressional leaders last October.

ANTI-TRUMP AMNESIA: GOP Rep. Says Ohr Has ‘POOR MEMORY’ Surrounding Steele Relationship
GOP Rep. Darrel Issa accused DOJ official Bruce Ohr of having a “poor memory” during his Congressional testimony Tuesday; slamming the anti-Trump administrator after repeatedly deflecting questions surrounding his relationship with a former British spy.
Ohr appeared before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committee this week to answer serious questions about his behind-the-scenes dealings with Christopher Steele, the author of the debunked ‘Trump Dossier.’
“He seems to not remember a lot of details and, you know, poor memories are often claimed by people who want to stick to what they can say and not be caught in perjury,” said Rep. Issa.
“I don’t know if it’s improper but I want to know who at DOJ knew and it certainly looks like he continued to meet with Mr. Steele after the FBI had terminated their relationship with Mr. Steele,” added Rep. Jim Jordan following the hearing.

FAMILY TIES: Congress Seeks to Question Bruce Ohr’s Wife Over TRUMP DOSSIER
Just one day after Congressional leaders grilled anti-Trump DOJ official Bruce Ohr over his role behind the debunked ‘Trump Dossier,’ House Republicans are seeking to speak with his wife regarding her relationship with Fusion GPS.
“Numerous congressional sources are telling SaraACarter.com that after Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr’s explosive closed-door testimony on Tuesday, lawmakers are gearing up to call his wife, Nellie Ohr, in for questioning regarding her work with the now-embattled research firm, Fusion GPS. Congress is also seeking access to Bruce Ohr’s text messages and emails with top FBI officials,” writes Sara Carter.
“Nellie Ohr, a Russia expert who was hired by Fusion GPS in 2016 to investigate the Trump campaign, received multiple large sum payments from the research firm, according to a U.S. official, with direct knowledge of the payments,” she adds.
