OUT OF THE FRYING PAN: Chris Wallace Back to Sundays After CNN+ Failure, Will Anchor Show on CNN, HBO Max

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.18.22

Host Chris Wallace has found a home after the total disaster that was CNN+. Wallace will return to Sundays for a CNN evening show, with episodes of his interview series appearing on HBO Max.

Speaking at the upfront event, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said, “At a time where most news networks are advocacy networks, we at CNN intend to advocate for journalism first.”

“Warner Bros. Discovery executives haven’t been shy about their intentions for CNN, saying repeatedly that they want to focus the network’s future on nonpartisan reporting instead of personality programming at primetime,” Axios reports.

Wallace left Fox News in December, saying “After 18 years, this is my final ‘Fox News Sunday.’ It is the last time, and I say this with real sadness, we will meet like this … There’s a lot you can do on Sunday mornings. The fact that you’ve chosen to spend this hour with us is something I cherish. But after 18 years, I have decided to leave FOX. I want to try something new, to go beyond politics, to all of the things I’m interested in.”

Guess he never got that gig with Brian Grazer…

Wallace go torched on Twitter for the new gig. Check out some of the tweets below:
