The mainstream media and liberal legislators’ all-out assault on President Trump’s Helsinki summit is not resonating with GOP voters, with a new poll showing an overwhelming majority of Republicans supported the President’s meeting with Vladimir Putin.
The survey, conducted by Axios, shows a whopping 80% of Republicans approved of the President’s face-to-face negotiations with the Russian leader.
Just 8% of Democrats supported the summit.
The same poll shows 91% of GOP voters approved of the Trump presidency “so far,” with 64% of Democrats “disapproving of Trump.”
“The partisan split could be seen in other things the poll measured. For example, 85 percent of Republicans think the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 elections is ‘more of a distraction,’ while on the other side, 85 percent of Democrats feel that the possibility of coordination between the two entities is a ‘serious issue,’” writes the Washington Examiner.

HANNITY IN HELSINKI: The Left Can't Keep Up With the 'Speed of Trump'
Speaking during his opening monologue from Helsinki Monday, Hannity slammed the mainstream media’s full-fledged assault on President Trump; saying they simply can’t keep up with the President as he “moves at the speed of Trump.”
“President Trump is just not slowing down, and some people in the media are having a hard time dealing with the fact that he moves so fast; moving at the speed of Trump. This was the President’s 21st visit to a foreign country in just 18 months,” said Sean.
“After today’s one-on-one meeting with Vladimir Putin, the two leaders held a joint press conference,” he added. “The meeting comes just days after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the indictments of twelve Russian agents who were accused of hacking the DNC.”
“Many on the left want you to believe this alleged interference is a shocking turn of events, but we all know Russian election meddling isn’t new at all,” said Sean.

RAND PAUL: Helsinki Summit Critics Motivated by ‘DISLIKE of the PRESIDENT’
Senator Rand Paul slammed the “pro-war” critics of President Trump’s historic Helsinki summit with Vladimir Putin Monday; saying his GOP detractors were motivated by their “dislike of the President.”
The Senator praised the President’s face-to-face meeting with the Russian leader just hours after Trump met with Putin in the Finnish capital, saying “small steps” towards a thaw in relations with another nuclear superpower was a good thing for both countries.
“We’re going to talk to the president about some small steps in order to try to thaw the relations between our countries,” said Paul.
“Republicans that are making the criticism are either the pro-war Republicans like (Sen. John) McCain and (Sen. Lindsey) Graham or the anti-Trump ones like (Sen. Ben) Sasse,” he added. “They are motivated by their persistent and consistent dislike of the president.”
