Fading presidential candidate Kamala Harris unveiled her latest proposal to combat climate change this week; promising $8,000 tax credits to energy workers displaced by the ‘Green New Deal.’
“Do you have a message for voters who have jobs and interests in the fossil fuel industry?” asked one reporter.
“We have to encourage those industries to do better. Such as allowing those workers to transition into jobs of the future, such as renewable energy,” fired-back Harris. “My plan, what I intend to do for those workers, is all workers who need to transition are going to get an $8,000 tax credit to be able to do the training that’s necessary.”

Kamala’s comments come days after her campaign announced a severe reduction in staff in critical battleground states.
“Kamala Harris is dramatically restructuring her campaign by redeploying staffers to Iowa and laying off dozens of aides at her Baltimore headquarters, according to campaign sources and a memo obtained by POLITICO Wednesday, as she struggles to resuscitate her beleaguered presidential bid,” reports Politico.
“The moves come as Harris is hemorrhaging cash and in danger of lacking the resources to mount a competitive bid against better-funded rivals in Iowa. The overhaul will touch nearly every facet of Harris’ operation, with layoffs or re-deployments coming at headquarters, as well as in New Hampshire, Nevada and her home state of California, a Super Tuesday prize that her advisers once viewed as a big asset,” adds the website.
Harris’ campaign manager Juan Rodriguez will reportedly slash his own salary, which was reportedly more than $10,000 per month.
The latest polling from Real Clear Politics has Harris hovering at fifth-place among registered Democrats, tied with businessman Andrew Yang.
BERNIE’S BLAME GAME: Sanders Says Democrat Debates ‘Demeaning’ to Candidates
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders slammed the Democratic debate format during a recent interview this week; calling the process “demeaning” to both presidential candidates and the American people.
“What they are is a reality tv show in which you have to come up with a soundbite and all that stuff,” he said. “It’s demeaning to the candidates and it’s demeaning to the American people. You can’t explain the complexity of health care in America in 45 seconds, nobody can.”
“What it encourages people to do is come up with soundbites and do absurd things,” Sanders said. “If I yell and scream on this show and took my clothes off, it would get a lot of publicity, right? If you give a thoughtful answer to a complicated question, it’s not so sexy for the media.”

Recent polling from the key primary state of New Hampshire may spell big trouble for Joe Biden, with Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren making major gains months before voters head to the polls.
According to the latest survey from Suffolk University-Boston Globe, Biden leads the Democratic field with 21%, followed by Sanders at 17% and Warren at 14%.
That’s a 5% bump for both candidates since the second round of presidential debates.
“Sen. Kamala Harris is in fourth place at 8 percent support, followed by South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 6 percent and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) at 3 percent. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is at 1 percent support and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke registered zero percent support,” reports The Hill.
The survey comes days after another national showed Biden maintaining a healthy lead over his Democratic challengers.
“Standing in contrast to the first set of Democratic debates, this week’s matchups did little to immediately impact potential Democratic primary voters’ preferences for president,” states a new poll from Morning Consult.
“Thirty-two percent of Democratic primary voters said they still want to see former Vice President Joe Biden at the top of the party’s 2020 ticket, according to new Morning Consult polling conducted after the Tuesday and Wednesday debates in Detroit. That figure hasn’t shifted much since the end of the first round of debates, when 33 percent said Biden was their first choice,” adds the survey.
Following Biden is Bernie Sanders at 18%, Elizabeth Warren at 15%, and Kamala Harris at 10%.
BIDEN IN TROUBLE: Latest Poll Shows BERNIE SANDERS Now in First Place in New Hampshire
Recent polling from New Hampshire could spell big trouble for former Vice President Joe Biden, with new data showing Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders taking the lead in the pivotal primary state.
“Gravis Marketing has released its first 2020 New Hampshire Democratic Primary poll and finds Sen. Bernie Sanders sitting atop the Democratic Primary field with 21% of the vote. Former Vice President Joe Biden took second place with 15% of New Hampshire Democratic primary goers supporting him. Behind Sanders and Biden, Sen. Warren is at 12% respectfully followed by Mayor Buttigieg with 8%, Sen. Kamala Harris at 7%, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard at 5%, Andrew Yang and Tom Steyer each with 4%, and Rep. Julian Castro and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke at 2%,” reports the Polling Firm.
“It is important to note that Sen. Sanders won the New Hampshire Democratic Primary in 2016,” Doug Kaplan, President of Gravis Marketing stated. “However, it is unlikely that Sen. Sanders will have a repeat of his 2016 performance in the state due to the number of candidates in the race this time.”
Other polls show Sen. Sanders and Elizabeth closing the gap with Biden in Iowa, California, and Nevada.
President Trump called-out Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden from the White House lawn Friday afternoon; saying the former Vice President was “not playing with a full deck.”
“Look, Joe is not playing with a full deck,” Trump told reporters outside the White House. “He made that comment and I said ‘whoa.'”
“This is not somebody you can have as your president, but if he got the nomination I’d be thrilled,” he said.
“Trump has delighted in making fun of Biden for what he sees as Biden’s declining mental capacity. Earlier this week, responding to Biden comparing his rhetoric to that of former Alabama Gov. George Wallace, Trump said that Biden has ‘truly lost his fastball, that I can tell you,’” reports Fox News.

“They call anyone a racist that when they run out of cards…they’ve got candidates,” he said. “Joe Biden can’t answer a simple question, something’s going wrong with him.”
“A lot of people think he’s the one who wanted Bob Mueller to testify,” Trump said. “Because it made Joe look intelligent.”
