LIBERAL LOGIC: Pelosi Slams Sessions’ Firing… Demanded his Removal in 2017

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.18

Potential Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi slammed the resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions this week; conveniently ignoring her calls for the senior Trump aide’s removal in March 2017.

Pelosi weighed-in on Sessions’ abrupt resignation on social media just minutes after his announcement, saying “It is impossible to read Attorney General Sessions’ firing as anything other than another blatant attempt by @realDonaldTrump to undermine & end Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation.”

Pelosi’s comments are in stark contrast to her heated rhetoric early last year, when she demanded Sessions’ “resignation or removal” from office.

“We are far past recusal. Jeff #Sessions lied under oath. Anything less than resignation or removal from office is unacceptable,” she tweeted.

WARREN'S WARNING: Sen. Warren Says Sessions' Resignation Could Spark ‘Constitutional Crisis’

Firebrand Senator and potential 2020 candidate Elizabeth Warren raised eyebrows throughout Washington this week; bizarrely suggesting Jeff Sessions’ resignation as Attorney General brings the US “one step closer” to a full-fledged constitutional crisis.

Warren posted her ominous warning on social media Wednesday afternoon; writing President Trump’s “firing of Jeff Sessions brings us one step closer to a constitutional crisis. Congress must act to ensure that Special Counsel Mueller can do his job without interference.”

Warren was singing a different tune last year, when she expressed her “deep disappointment” after the Senate voted to confirm Sessions as Attorney General.

“Trump expects us to replace the AG w/ Jeff Sessions, whose career is defined by hostility to civil rights, immigrants & the rule of law,” she posted in January 2017.

“At your request, I am submitting my resignation,” Sessions wrote in the Wednesday letter to Trump.
