Former Secretary of State John Kerry found himself in hot water this week after he publicly admitted to having high-level meetings with Iranian officials after leaving office; prompting the Trump administration to slam his “shameful” shadow diplomacy.
Kerry was speaking with radio host Hugh Hewitt Wednesday when he claimed he’s met with his Iranian counterparts at least “three or four times” in recent months, with one White House official blasting the talks as “shameful.”
“John Kerry is out giving advice to Iran about how to maneuver around what Donald Trump is doing, it’s insidious,” said former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer. “I don’t know if it’s legal or illegal, I don’t care about that side of it. It’s wrong.”
I assume MSM & Dems who got vapors & cried “Logan Act!” when 46 senators & I released letter defending Senate’s treaty power will accuse @JohnKerry of Logan Act violation.
Kidding re Logan Act, a stupid, dead-letter law. Not kidding re hypocrisy. https://t.co/4Y41Mck6RO

Kerry denied the conversations were inappropriate hours later, saying “Every secretary of state, former secretary of state continues to meet with foreign leaders, goes to security conferences, goes around the world.”
“We all do that. And we all have conversations (about) the state of affairs with the world in order to understand them,” he added.
KERRY’S MUTINY: John Kerry SABOTAGED Trump’s Middle East PEACE TALKS
Former Secretary of State John Kerry reportedly sabotaged President Trump’s renewed Middle East peace talks, telling Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to “stay strong” against Trump’s demands and telling the Arab leader the President would likely be removed from office within one year.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Kerry met with Palestinian Authority officials in London to discuss President Trump’s recent push to renew peace talks between Arab leaders and their Israeli counterparts.
The former Secretary of State told PA authorities to “hold on and be strong” in the face of Trump’s harsh demands, asking the officials to convey a message to Abbas saying “that he should stay strong in his spirit and play for time, that he will not break and will not yield to President [Donald] Trump’s demands.”
“Maybe it is time for the Palestinians to define their peace principles and present a positive plan,” he added.
Kerry reportedly informed Palestinian officials that Trump would likely be impeached within his first year in office.
The former Obama aide’s continued involvement in the Middle East peace process comes as speculation swirls around Kerry’s possible bid for the Democratic nomination in 2020.
DEEP STATE DEPT: John Kerry Admits Meeting with IRANIAN OFFICIALS in Recent Months
Former Secretary of State John Kerry publicly admitted Wednesday he’s met with Iranian officials at least “three or four times” in recent months; raising serious concerns over whether the senior Obama official is engaging in “shadow diplomacy” behind-the-scenes.
Kerry was speaking with radio host Hugh Hewitt this week when he was asked about President Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the Obama administration’s signature Iranian nuclear deal.
“I think I’ve seen him three or four times,” Kerry said, referring to Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.
Kerry’s comments come months after President Trump unloaded on the former presidential candidate over his “shadow diplomacy” aimed to derailing the Commander-in-Chief’s foreign policy.
“The United States does not need John Kerry’s possibly illegal Shadow Diplomacy on the very badly negotiated Iran Deal. He was the one that created this MESS in the first place!” tweeted Trump last May.
