New Yorkers are used to it.
According to a report from The New York Post, a man was fatally stabbed Friday morning when a knife fight broke out in the middle of a busy intersection during rush hour traffic.
Onlookers casually strolled by while the two men went at it.
From The New York Post:
The fight broke out just before 8:15 a.m. in the busy crossing at West 30th Street and Seventh Avenue, where the two men squared up to each other and started throwing massive haymakers, according to cops and video of the incident.
While one woman can be seen in the clip walking by in the crossing and barely giving the fisticuffs a glance, another woman who appeared to be a nurse walks right between the men as the larger combatant holds a knife. She appears to give them a tongue-lashing.
“One lady got in between and told them ‘don’t fight,’” said a worker at a nearby laundry who gave his name as Mr. Lee.
Despite her attempt at peacemaking, moments later, the shirtless 36-year-old can be seen in the video later bleeding in the crosswalk with cops frantically trying to save the man’s life.
The man was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
