Iconic television host Judge Judy Sheindlin -simply known as Judge Judy- will reportedly hit the campaign trail with New York billionaire Mike Bloomberg in the coming weeks; endorsing the former Big Apple Mayor in his bid for the White House.
“Celebrity endorsements are a well-worn part of politics, of course, but they typically deliver less than candidates hope for: A quick rush of headlines, maybe, but most voters don’t ultimately make choices based on their favorite television characters,” reports The Hill.
“Bloomberg is looking for the same boost from Sheindlin, who replaced Winfrey as daytime TV’s number one star: Her audience is largely female, mostly working class, and racially diverse — the kind of voters Democrats need to reach in November. Like Obama in 2007, the former New York mayor is not widely known,” adds the website.

Television star Judge Judy Scheindlin officially endorsed New York Billionaire Mike Bloomberg for President of the United States Wednesday; despite the former Mayor’s reluctance to enter the 2020 race for the White House.
“We’re hopelessly divided, and a bitterly divided family cannot thrive. The only way we can begin to come together again, I said, is if Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, becomes our next president,” wrote the judge in an op-ed for USA Today.

“I realize I am taking a personal and a career risk in making such a statement. I have carefully stayed away from politics for 50 years, except to vote. But times have changed in our country, and I believe the moment has come for me to step out from behind the curtain. I want to speak honestly and from the heart — regardless of the consequences,” she added.

“I realize Michael Bloomberg said in March that he will not run for president in 2020 (though he might be reconsidering that position, according to anonymous sources). I respect his comment — but our political landscape has changed profoundly since he made it. There is ferment on the left and the right, candidacies are rising and falling, and this has created an opportunity for Bloomberg, a man of the center, to change his mind,” concludes Scheindlin.

BLOOMBERG CAMPAIGN: Donald Trump on ‘Path to Victory’ in 2020 Election
Recently announced Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg’s campaign explained their decision to jump into the 2020 General Election this week; saying Donald Trump is currently on a “path to victory” next November.
“Mike is getting in this race because he thinks that Donald Trump is an existential crisis and he thinks he’s on a path to victory and he’s getting in to alter that dynamic,” campaign manager Kevin Sheekey told CNN.

“That’s the whole general election. And right now Donald Trump is winning, he is winning that election. It’s very tough for people who live in New York or California to understand that, but that is what’s happening,” Sheekey said.
