The Biden Administration continued to rail against sensible border security on Friday during the White House press briefing when Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized the 25 GOP governors who have voiced support for Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
“Does the president have any response to the, at least, 25 Republican governors signing a joint statement supporting Texas in its standoff?” one reporter asks KJP.
“I would say to them that if they truly want to help with the issue at the border, with the immigration system, they need to talk to the congressional members — to the senators — in their state,” KJP fired back. “The way that we deal with this, is legislatively.”
“If those 25 GOP governors really want to help, really want to assist, really want to see change…they should talk to their senators or congressmen and women who are in their states.”
