HOLDING THEM ACCOUNTABLE: Senate Republicans Must Answer These 3 Questions on Impeachment

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.14.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell suggested this week that any Articles of Impeachment against the President will go to trial in the United States Senate; saying “the rules are very clear.”

“I don’t think there’s any question that we have to take up the matter. The rules of impeachment are very clear, we’ll have to have a trial. My own view is that we should give people the opportunity to put the case on,” McConnell told reporters.

Today, we are asking every GOP Senator to answer three fundamental questions at the heart of the Democrats’ latest effort to remove Donald Trump from the White House.

  1. Will we allow hearsay and conjecture to become admissible evidence?
  2. Is the US Senate going to allow an impeachment trial to continue where the accuser is a hearsay whistleblower?
  3. Are we setting a dangerous precedent for all future Presidents?

“Today we are holding our Representatives accountable. We are asking Senate Republicans to answer the American people regarding the #SchiffShamShow impeachment trial. Senators, we are waiting… Senators, will we allow the #SchiffShamShow to continue where hearsay and conjecture are now admissible evidence? Is the United States Senate going to allow an impeachment trial to continue where the accuser is a hearsay whistleblower? Are we setting a precedent where the POTUS does not have a right to confront their accuser? Especially in this case where the accuser is a hearsay whistleblower,” posted Sean Hannity on social media Thursday.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

GRAHAM ON HANNITY: Every American Has the Right to Confront Their Accuser, Including the President

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.13.19

Senator Lindsey Graham unloaded on the Democrats’ sham impeachment process on ‘Hannity’ Tuesday night; saying every single American has the right to confront their accuser in court: including the President.

“There is no civil or criminal proceedings in America that denies a person to tell their side of the story by calling witnesses. Every American deserves the right to confront their accuser, that’s not being done in this case,” said Graham.

“The allegation is that Donald Trump withheld aid to the Ukraine unless they investigated Joe and Hunter Biden for corruption. The problem with that allegation is that it’s not true. The aid was delivered to the Ukraine and there was no investigation into the Bidens,” he added.

GRAHAM ON HANNITY: Hearsay Cannot be the Basis of an Impeachment Trial Against the President

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.14.19

Senator Lindsey Graham spoke with Sean Hannity Wednesday night on the Democrats’ disastrous televised impeachment hearings; saying any trial in the US Senate “cannot be based on hearsay.”

“The trial is in the Senate. Let’s say they get 218 votes, here’s what I promise the country: We’re not going to try the President of the United States based on hearsay. Any resolution setting up a trial in the Senate, I’m going to make sure that hearsay cannot be the basis of an impeachment allegation,” said Graham.

“A trial in the Senate should not legitimize what’s going on in the House. No American is denied the right to call witnesses on their behalf instead of Donald Trump,” he added.
