During Thursday night’s Hannity, Fox News host Sean Hannity reacted to the biggest news story of the day: the death of fallen NFL legend OJ Simpson.
“In 1995, few Americans can forget, Simpson was acquitted of murder after what was the ‘trial of the decade,'” Hannity said over archival footage of Simpson and the trial.
“This kicked off one of the most publicized trials in American history, and a bloody glove seen around the world,” Hannity continued, rolling the famous footage of Simpson trying on gloves found at the crime scene and Simpson lawyer Johnnie Cochran saying “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.”
“For many Americans, that seemed like an incredibly weak defense…but the jury disagreed,” Hannity continued. “In 2016, one juror admitted that she and many others in the almost-all African American jury thought OJ was guilty but used ‘Not Guilty’ — that verdict — as payback for the Rodney King beating.”
