DEVELOPING: Florida Gunman Who Killed 3 Was a Saudi Flight Student, FBI Probing Possible Terror Links

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.06.19

The gunman who opened fire at a Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida was reportedly a Saudi Arabian national in the US for flight training.

“The gunman who opened fire Friday morning at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, fatally shooting three people, has been identified as an aviation student from Saudi Arabia as investigators are looking into whether the attack is terrorism-related,” reports Fox News.

“The gunman was confronted and taken out by a pair of responding officers. Two people were killed at the scene while a third victim died after being rushed to a local hospital. Seven others suffered injuries and are undergoing treatment, including the two officers, one of whom was shot in the arm and the other in the knee. Both are expected to survive,” adds Fox.

“This is a tragic day for the city of Pensacola… we are a military town, our hearts and prayers are connected to all those that serve us every single day,” the city’s mayor, Grover Robinson, told reporters during a press conference Friday. “We will overcome this, but today this is certainly a tragic day.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

'SOLIDARITY': Pro-Democracy Protesters in Hong Kong Suspend Daily Demonstrations to Respect 9/11

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.11.19

Pro-Democracy protesters in Hong Kong suspended their daily demonstrations Wednesday to mark the anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks on the United States.

“In solidarity against terrorism, all forms of protest in Hong Kong will be suspended on Sept. 11, apart from potential singing and chanting,” the group said in a statement.

“They also denounced a Chinese state newspaper which reported that the protests were planning ‘massive terror’ in the semi-autonomous city,” reports The Hill.

Original Story: September 4, 2019

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam officially withdrew a controversial extradition bill that would allow Beijing to extradite the region’s residents to the Chinese capital to stand trial; ending months of protests from pro-democracy demonstrators.

“The bill allowing Hong Kong residents to be sent to mainland China for trials sparked massive protests that have rocked the city since June. Lam had suspended the bill, but protesters wanted it entirely withdrawn,” reports Fox News.

“For more than two months, protests arising from the Fugitive Offenders Bill have continued,” Lam said in a prerecorded message Wednesday.

“There have been chaotic scenes at the airport and MTR stations; roads and tunnels have been suddenly blocked, causing delay and inconvenience to daily life,” Lam continued. “Visitors wonder whether our city is still a safe place for travel or business. Families and friends have been under stress, and arguments have flared.”

“For many people, Hong Kong has become an unfamiliar place. Incidents over these past two months have shocked and saddened Hong Kong people. We are all very anxious about Hong Kong, our home. We all hope to find a way out of the current impasse and unsettling times,” she added.

AOC EXPLODES: AOC Says Netanyahu ‘Banning’ Anti-Israeli Reps Because They’re ‘Muslim Women’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.15.19

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez erupted on social media following the Israeli Prime Minister’s decision to block entry to Reps. Tlaib and Omar Thursday; suggesting Netanyahu’s decision was rooted in Islamophobia.

“[Members of Congress] are frequently asked to visit Israel to ‘see things for ourselves.’ But Netanyahu choosing to ban the only 2 Muslim women in Congress from entering tells the US that only *some* Americans are welcome to Israel, not all. Trump is exporting his bigotry &making matters worse,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied access to the country for Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib Thursday; saying they routinely “deny Israel’s legitimacy” and call for a boycott against the Jewish State.

Read his full statement below:

No country in the world respects America and the American Congress more than the State of Israel. As a free and vibrant democracy, Israel is open to critics and criticism with one exception: Israeli law prohibits the entry into Israel of those who call for and work to impose boycotts on Israel, as do other democracies that prohibit the entry of people who seek to harm the country.

In fact, in the past the US did this to an Israeli member of Knesset, as well as to other public figures from around the world. Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar are leading activists in promoting the legislation of boycotts against Israel in the American Congress.

Only a few days ago, we received their itinerary for their visit in Israel, which revealed that they planned a visit whose sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us and deny Israel’s legitimacy.

For instance: they listed the destination of their trip as Palestine and not Israel, and unlike all Democratic and Republican members of Congress who have visited Israel, they did not request to meet any Israeli officials, either from the government or the opposition.

A week ago, Israel warmly welcomed some 70 Democratic and Republican members of Congress, who expressed broad bipartisan support for Israel, which was also demonstrated a month ago in a resounding bipartisan vote against BDS in Congress.

However, the itinerary of the two Congresswomen reveals that the sole purpose of their visit is to harm Israel and increase incitement against it.

In addition, the organization that is funding their trip is Miftah, which is an avid supporter of BDS, and among whose members are those who have expressed support for terrorism against Israel.

Therefore, the minister of interior has decided not to allow their visit, and I, as prime minister, support his decision.

Nonetheless, if Congresswoman Tlaib submits a humanitarian request to visit her relatives, the minister of interior has announced that he will consider her request on the condition that she pledges not to act to promote boycotts against Israel during her visit.
