9/11 terrorists…concerned school parents —same thing to Mayorkas.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stopped by MSNBC over the weekend to remember the tragic events of September 11th, 2001 —and to remind MSNBC viewers that the new threat to America is MAGA Republicans and concerned parents who show up to school board meetings when they find out there’s pornography in the library.

The threat landscape has evolved considerably over the last twenty years… We were very focused on the foreign terrorist…we began to be more and more concerned about the individual already a resident in the United States radicalized by a foreign ideology.
Now we are seeing an emerging threat, of course over the last several years, of the domestic violent extremists. The individual here in the United States is radicalized by a foreign ideology but also by an ideology of hate. Anti-government sentiment, false narratives propagated on online platforms.
Mayorkas wasn’t the only Dem out on the anniversary of 9/11 comparing MAGA Republicans to actual terrorists —Hillary Clinton was happy to drop the talking point as well.
Clinton spoke with Dana Bash on CNN’s State of the Union.
“We have also, I think, been reminded about how important it is to try to deal with extremism of any kind, especially when it uses violence to try to achieve political and ideological goals,” Clinton said. “So I’m one who thinks that there are lessons still to be learned from what happened to us on 9/11 that we should be very aware of during this time in our country and the world’s history.”
“So we are in a funny position, Dana, because there’s a small, but very vocal, very powerful, very determined minority who wants to impose their views on all the rest of us,” she added. “And it’s time for everybody, regardless of party to say, ‘No, that’s not who we are as America.’”
