Senator Ted Cruz called-out his Democratic colleagues in Washington, DC this week; saying the “inmates are running the asylum” inside the nation’s capital.
“You look at Washington. Washington has gone stark-raving nuts. It’s a city that combines southern efficiency with northern hospitality,” said Cruz. “It’s always been a messed-up place, but now the inmates are running the asylum.”
“They Are Spending Money Like Crazy, Dear God, Please Nobody Tell the Democrats What Comes After a Trillion!” joked Cruz.
Since taking office in January, the Biden administration and Democratic Party have called for upwards of $6-8 trillion in new spending programs like the Green New Deal, Infrastructure, CoVID-relief package, and ‘American Jobs Plan.’
