CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR: CNN Ratings Down 54 PERCENT Since Inauguration Day

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.18.21

From Fox News:

CNN has been hemorrhaging viewers since President Biden took office, with ratings down more than 50 percent in multiple categories since Inauguration Day.

The liberal network spent years attacking former President Donald Trump and the network thrived during his final days in office amid a brief post-election spike. CNN averaged 2.2 million viewers during the first three weeks of 2021, but it has averaged just one million viewers since Biden took office, a staggering decline of 54 percent.

CNN’s struggles are even more prominent among the key advertising demographic of adults age 25-54, with a drop of 60 percent. It averaged 617,000 demo viewers from Dec. 28 through Inauguration Day but only 244,000 since Biden entered the White House.

CNN’s liberal primetime hosts Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon haven’t been able to keep their audiences under the new administration, either.

CNN averaged 3.1 million viewers from 8-11 p.m. from Dec. 28 through Inauguration Day but only 1.4 million since for a whopping 55-percent decline. Over the same time period, CNN’s primetime lineup lost 63 percent of its viewers among the crucial demo.

While January was a jam-packed news month with the Capitol riots and Trump challenging the 2020 election results, CNN’s mass exodus was significant even when compared to liberal MSNBC.

MSNBC lost 34 percent of its total-day viewers and 30 percent during primetime under Biden, while Fox News has retained most of its audience with single-digit declines.

CNN’s major viewership decline would typically be the sort of thing to alarm staffers, but Lemon said he cares more about who is in the White House than the success of his network.

During an interview on the New York Times podcast “Sway,” host Kara Swisher asked Lemon if he was “worried about the viewership fizzle.”

“No. I’m not worried about it … Trump was a horrible person. And he was terrible for the country. And it is better for all — for the world that he is no longer the President of the United States,” Lemon said. “So if that means that cable news ratings go down? Aww. So I’m not really that concerned about it. I would prefer that my ratings go down and Trump not be in office than my ratings be sky-high and him be there. That’s the honest truth.”

CAMPING WORLD CEO: I’d Rather Be THROWN IN JAIL Than Remove Giant American Flag

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.03.19

Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis is refusing to back-down to city officials regarding the massive American flag flying over his North Carolina store; saying he’d rather “go to jail” than take down the Stars and Stripes.

“The chief executive of a major RV retailer said he will not bend to a North Carolina’s city’s demand he reduce the size of an American flag flying on his property,” reports Fox News. “Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis dismissed the $50-per-day fine, criticism from the Statesville government and prospect of future imprisonment in an interview Monday with Martha MacCallum on ‘The Story.’

“The ordinance doesn’t matter to me,” said Lemonis. “If you look at the North Carolina statute, it says as long as it’s not impairing someone’s health and well-being it’s not a big deal.”

“They made the claim it could cause an accident on the freeway because it was too distracting — it was too beautiful,” he added. “When veterans show up at the stores for the flag raisings, and when they come on Saturdays and do their veteran rides, and they weep at the bottom of the flagpole, that’s the conviction that I need to say it’s just not going to come down. I would rather go to jail.”

Camping World CEO and television host Marcus Lemonis flat-out refused to take-down the giant American flag flying over his North Carolina store this week; saying the stars and stripes won’t be removed “under any circumstance.”

“We have flown this flag for a long time,” Lemonis told Fox Business. “As I told the city…it’s not coming down under any circumstance.”

“I don’t normally advocate for violating ordinances and things of that nature, but we have 14,000 employees and several millions customers and I have a fiduciary responsibility to follow their edict as well,” he added.

“We know that before the flag pole goes up and before the flag goes up we want to ensure that people are safe,” he said. “We are not messing with the FAA in terms of air traffic rules.”

Camping World in Statesville, North Carolina is refusing to cave to the local government’s efforts to remove a giant American flag hovering above the massive RV retailer; staring down an $11,000 fine that grows by $50 each day.

“The City of Statesville, North Carolina has filed a lawsuit seeking an injunction to require Gander RV in Statesville, NC to take down their American Flag. They are imposing a $50/day fine retroactive to 10/15/18. Many cities like Statesville have requested that Camping World and Gander Outdoors take down their American Flags. WE WON’T DO IT! Stand with us.
This is about more than just the flag. This is about our Veterans, Military, and the men and women that have sacrificed for this great country. They are the reason we fly the flag and they are the reason we will NOT take it down! Sign the petition – http://chng.it/9NstTr8nCS.
