The United States military plans to send at least 5,000 American soldiers to the US-Mexico border in the coming days; setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown as the ‘migrant caravan’ slowly makes its way north towards California and Texas.
According to the Wall Street Journal, President Trump is preparing to deploy thousands of troops to crackdown on asylum seekers hoping to enter the United States illegally.
“The U.S. military plans to deploy 5,000 troops to the southwest U.S. border in anticipation of a caravan of would-be asylum seekers and migrants currently moving northward in Mexico,” writes the Wall Street Journal.
“The new figure is a major increase from initial estimates of 800 troops and would represent a military force equal to about one-third the number of customs officials currently working at the border,” adds the WSJ.
Many Gang Members and some very bad people are mixed into the Caravan heading to our Southern Border. Please go back, you will not be admitted into the United States unless you go through the legal process. This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!

BORDER CHAOS: Second 'Migrant Caravan' Makes its Way Towards US Border
A second migrant caravan encompassing thousands of Central American workers slowly made its way towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico this week; setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown with the Trump administration and immigration officials.
“The caravan formed a day after Vice President Mike Pence met with the presidents of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador in Washington, where he offered economic development assistance in exchange for tighter controls on gang violence and migration. Pence also called on the Central American leaders to warn their citizens against trying to cross the U.S. border,” writes the Daily Caller.
“Tell your people — don’t put your families at risk by taking the dangerous journey north to attempt to enter the United States illegally,” said the Vice President during the meeting.
The caravan marks the second gathering of Central American migrants heading towards the United States this year.
A similar group attempted to enter the US last April but were rejected by immigration authorities at checkpoints near Tijuana, Mexico.

The migrant caravan slowly making its way towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico continued to grow in recent days, with local reporters saying the marching immigrants are now estimated at 14,000 individuals.
According to Newsweek, the “caravan” is gradually gaining more members as it makes its way north towards American border crossings in Texas and California.
“In a series of tweets, President Donald Trump has unsuccessfully urged Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to halt the migrant caravan, which is believed to have reached more than 14,000 members in southern Mexico,” writes Newsweek.
The President has routinely warned the migrants to return to their home countries in recent days, saying “We are a great Sovereign Nation. We have Strong Borders and will never accept people coming into our Country illegally!”
