BORDER CRISIS: Feds Arrest 650 MIGRANTS Along Arizona-Mexico Border in TWO DAYS

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.15.18

With thousands of American troops deployed to the United States’ southern border with Mexico in recent weeks, US Border Patrol Agents in Arizona have arrested at least 650 migrants in just two days.

According to Fox News, “Agents in the Yuma Sector said they detained 654 people – most reportedly being family units or unaccompanied minors from Guatemala – on Monday and Tuesday.”

“Larger numbers [of illegal immigrants] have started to illegally cross shallow portions of the Colorado River near Yuma,” said a press release from the Border Patrol Agency.

The arrests come as the initial members of the ‘migrant caravan’ arrived at the US-Mexico border in Tijuana Tuesday; with an estimated 2,000-4,000 additional immigrants slowly making their way north.

The first wave of migrants from the Central American ‘caravan’ arrived at the US-Mexico border in Tijuana Tuesday; attempting to cross the international fence but retreating after Border Patrol Agents approached.

According to Fox San Diego, “People on the Mexican side of the border could be seen climbing the fence near Friendship Park Tuesday afternoon after part of the Central American migrant caravan arrived in Tijuana.”

US Border Patrol released an official statement hours later, saying they believe the migrants are the first to approach the United States from the ‘migrant caravan’ making its way north.

“I was very surprised how many people are here and how many different officials are here, it seems like there’s something going on it’s not normal to have this many resources tied up all these vehicles saw armored car coming down the road it just seemed more than just an average day,” said a local resident.

CARAVAN ARRIVES: Multiple Migrants Arrested After Attempting to Cross US-Mexico Border

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.15.18

At least 12 Central American migrants traveling with the ‘caravan’ were arrested this week after attempting to illegally cross the US-Mexico border near Tijuana, reports Fox News.

The small group attempted to jump the fence in a region called Playas de Tijuana after a larger gathering assembled on the Mexican side of the border. The migrants are said to be the first to reach the United States with thousands more marching north.

“A small group was arrested near the beach in an area called Playas de Tijuana. A large group was arrested in the mountains east of Otay Mesa, a San Diego community that straddles the Mexican border, the source said. All were arrested for trying to cross the border illegally,” writes Fox.

Members of the caravan said they are actively waiting for more immigrants to arrive at the border and will remain in Mexico until they “figure out their next steps.”

“We have to see what we’re offered, just so they don’t send us back to our country,” said one Honduran.
