Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is more than just a little upset at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her “minions.” Boebert took to Twitter to share her frustrations that a 2,700+ page, $1.5 trillion dollar spending bill was delivered after midnight and was being taken up in the House the next (same) day.
“Pelosi’s minions released a 2,700+ page omnibus spending bill after midnight that we will consider today, ~15 hours later. At a time of record inflation and wasteful spending, the proposed solution is spend, spend, spend and another $1.5 trillion bill that no one will read.”

Boebert quickly discovered that the $1.5 trillion dollar spending bill included $14 billion in aid for Ukraine —up $4 billion dollars from the projected number last week. “When the Democrats saw our crumbling infrastructure, they cashed in for $1.3 trillion and only 9% went to real infrastructure. Now, they’re doing the same thing with Ukraine. Dems never let a crisis go to waste,” Boebert tweeted.

Government funding runs out Friday at midnight, so Congress is pushing to get this thing done. Pelosi has already stripped $12 billion in pandemic relief from the bill after both parties took issue with its inclusion.
“It is heartbreaking to remove the COVID funding, and we must continue to fight for urgently needed COVID assistance, but unfortunately that will not be included in this bill,” she added.
