At least four children were seriously injured in a series of late-night stabbings in London Friday morning, with one teen described as “disemboweled” in a public housing apartment in the UK capital.
According to the Metro UK, all victims were boys between the ages of 15 and 16 with at least six “attackers” being taken into custody at the scene.
“A teenager was heard crying ‘help, help’ before he was stabbed, according to witnesses. Another witness said they saw one of the boys collapse and his intestines were falling onto the ground,” writes the Metro.
The stabbings are believed to be the culmination of a series of fights between rival groups of youths living in the apartment block.
The incident is the latest in a series of attacks that have rocked the UK capital this year, with London’s murder rate surpassing that of New York City for the first time in recorded history.
