HOLLYWOOD VALUES: Alec Baldwin Admits He's 'Mistreated Women' for Years
Hollywood celebrity and Trump-hating activist Alec Baldwin admitted on Thursday that he has “treated women in a very sexist way,” adding that the allegations surrounding Harvey Weinstein have been a “very eye-opening experience” for the liberal actor.
According to the New York Post, Baldwin –infamous for his portrayal of President Trump on Saturday Night Live- made the announcement while he was being honored at a media event at the Paley Center, telling audience members he routinely “bullied” women throughout his career.
“I certainly have treated women in a very sexist way. I’ve bullied women,” said the 59-year-old New Yorker.
“I’ve overlooked women. I’ve underestimated women. Not as a rule — from time to time, I’ve done what a lot of men do, which is […] when you don’t treat women the same way you treat men,” Baldwin said. “I’m from a generation where you really don’t, and I’d like that to change. I really would like that to change.”
“I knew of certain things, that there were rumors of things happening to people, but I didn’t necessarily know the scope, when you hear the hundreds and hundreds of women who are complaining about this,” he added. “It’s been a very eye-opening experience for me personally. We’ve got to be vigilant in a new way to make sure that everybody is comfortable and that we get the job done together that we’re there to do.”
LIVID FROM NEW YORK: Alec Baldwin Refuses to Enter Plea Over Parking Spot Dispute
Anti-Trump actor Alec Baldwin refused to enter a plea Monday in New York City after allegedly punching a resident during a dispute over a parking space, reports Fox News.
“The hot-headed actor, who arrived solo in a black SUV and ignored reporters’ calls for comment as he was escorted into the courthouse by police officers, did not enter a plea on the misdemeanor and violation-level charges. He has said any assertion that he punched anyone over a parking spot is false,” writes Fox.
The unidentified individual told police in early November that Baldwin “punched or slapped” him during the incident; eventually being taken to the hospital to be treated for jaw and neck pain.
Baldwin will return to court on December 21.
