A new poll released this week spells bad news for failing presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders; showing most Americans oppose a “Medicare for All” program that would eliminate private health insurance companies.
“Nearly two-thirds of Democratic primary voters questioned in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal national poll say they support a government-run single-payer Medicare-for-all style system that would replace existing private insurance,” reports Fox News. “But among all voters, support for such a plan plunges to just 41 percent. About 56 percent of registered voters oppose a ‘Medicare-for-all’ plan that replaces private insurance.”
Sanders unveiled his healthcare proposal earlier this year; vowing to reduce private health insurance companies to cosmetic surgery and other optional procedures.
“Sanders’ plan is the most ambitious by far of Democrats’ slate of bills aimed at expanding health coverage, proposing a total restructuring of the the national health care system that would effectively eliminate employer sponsored insurance and other government programs like Medicaid,” reports Politico.
Sanders’ plan would also bar employers and businesses from providing healthcare options that compete with the government-run insurance scheme.
Economists say Bernie’s healthcare program will cost $32 trillion over the next decade.

ANOTHER FREEBIE? Bernie Sanders Vows to Provide ‘Year-Round, Free Universal School Meals’
Vermont Senator and 2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders called for another federal program this week; saying the government should provide “year-round, free universal school meals” for every student in America.
“‘School lunch debt’ should not exist in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. When we are in the White House, we are going to provide year-round, free universal school meals,” posted Sanders on Instagram.
The school lunch program is the latest far-left proposal from Sanders, whose ‘Green New Deal’ would effectively nationalize upwards of 30% of the entire American economy.
“Atop our existing government spending, comprising some 40% of GDP, the Vermont Senator wouldn’t just nationalize one-fifth of the economy with a ‘Medicare For all’ bill eliminating private health insurance. Under his Green New Deal plan, he would also nationalize most of the energy sector,” reports the Washington Examiner.
“At a mere $16.3 trillion, the Sanders plan would go beyond simply spending measures to increase climate-focused research and development. It would literally centralize the means of domestic energy production,” adds the Examiner.
“What we need to do is have an aggressive federal government. You can’t nibble around the edges anymore. We need to transform our energy system, that means a massive increase in sustainable energy,” Sanders told MSNBC.

“Climate change is a global emergency. The Amazon rainforest is burning, Greenland’s ice shelf is melting, and the Arctic is on fire. People across the country and the world are already experiencing the deadly consequences of our climate crisis, as extreme weather events like heat waves, wildfires, droughts, floods, and hurricanes upend entire communities, ecosystems, economies, and ways of life, as well as endanger millions of lives. Communities of color, working class people, and the global poor have borne and will bear this burden disproportionately,” writes Sanders.
BERNIE: Free Healthcare and College for Illegal Immigrants, Must Legalize All ‘Undocumented’ People
Bernie Sanders unveiled new components of his key policy proposals on the campaign trail over the weekend; saying he “hopes” to give free healthcare and tuition-free college to “undocumented” people across the United States.
“Let me say something which has gotten me into trouble. I am a supporter of Medicare for All, and that means that everybody in the country has healthcare, including the undocumented,” Sanders told a crowd of supporters.
“When I say I want to make public colleges and universities tuition free, that also includes the undocumented. I hope as soon as possible the undocumented will not be undocumented, that’s the goal,” he added.

Sanders made similar promises of more “freebies” last week; baselessly asserting that new mothers will save $23,000 on childbirth under his universal healthcare scheme.
“Average cost of childbirth in the United States: $32,000
Average cost of childbirth with Medicare for All: $0,” posted Sanders on social media.

Sanders made national headlines last month after suggesting “population control” and “reproductive rights” in third world countries was necessary to combat climate change.
“Empowering women to curb population growth seems reasonable to enact. Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make it a key feature of a plan to address climate catastrophe?” asked an audience member.
“The answer is yes. Women have a right to control their own bodies and make reproductive decisions… In poor countries around the world, where women do not want to have large numbers of babies, where they can have the opportunity to use birth control to control the number of kids they have, is something I very strongly support,” said Sanders.
