According to a bombshell New York Times report, President Biden’s trip to Saudi Arabia over the summer was about oil —and the Administration thought a deal was reached —but the Saudis were privately saying they weren’t going to commit.
Joe, once again, is looking foolish on the international stage.
“When he met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the country’s day-to-day leader, the Saudis presented the administration with charts that showed that the price of oil had fallen and promised that they would increase oil production to a staggering 11 million barrels per day, which the report noted the country ‘had reached for only a few months in total over the past several years,’” The Daily Wire reports.
But the deal never materialized, leaving the Biden Administration confused and looking weak.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is still denying the trip was about oil; she spoke with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

“It’s worth noting that Biden repeatedly attacked the crown prince and the country while on the campaign trail, the administration has taken a stand against Saudi Arabia in their war in Yemen, and they are working with Saudi Arabia’s top enemy in the region: Iran. The Wall Street Journal added that Biden refused to talk to the crown prince for over a year and when he went to Saudi Arabia, officials there did not feel like Biden wanted to be there,” DW reports.
According to Fox News, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s 37-year-old ruler, has reportedly mocked President Biden in private —saying he liked former President Trump better.
Prince Faisal has denied that Prince Mohammed had privately made fun of Biden or told aides he favored his predecessor.
“These allegations made by anonymous sources are entirely false,” Faisal said. “The kingdom’s leaders have always held the utmost respect for U.S. presidents, based on the kingdom’s belief in the importance of having a relationship based on mutual respect.”
