Recently sworn-in Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez instructed her fellow left-wing legislators how to more effectively utilize social media Thursday; posting a “selfie” of the self-described Democratic-Socialist and her colleagues as “class was in session.”
“Class was in session this morning! I was thrilled to offer some insights on Twitter and social media to my. colleagues this morning. Now Majority @WhipClyburn is teaching me what all the bells mean in the Capitol,” tweeted Cortez.

CORTEZ CONCERN: Top Democrats ‘Try to Rein in’ Liberal Superstar
Senior Democrats and party officials are reportedly attempting to “rein-in” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after a series of critiques against her centrist colleagues; telling the self-described Democratic-Socialist to stop “attacking her own people.”
“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is already making enemies in the House Democratic Caucus — and some of its members are mounting an operation to bring the anti-establishment, democratic socialist with 2.2 million Twitter followers into the fold,” writes Politico.
“I’m sure Ms. Cortez means well, but there’s almost an outstanding rule: Don’t attack your own people,” said Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.). “We just don’t need sniping in our Democratic Caucus.”
Cortez found herself coming under fire from The View’s Whoopi Goldberg this week, with the left-wing comedian telling the new congresswoman to “sit down and listen.”
