Festivities for America’s big birthday bash continue….
President Donald Trump announced Monday that he will host a massive “Tribute to America” rally in Washington, D.C., on July 4 as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The president promised what he called “the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all,” with festivities centered around the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument on the National Mall.
Trump said the celebration will begin at 7 p.m. and include military flyovers, ceremonial performances, patriotic music, fireworks and remarks from the president himself.
“On July 4th, at The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, in beautiful and safe Washington, D.C., we are going to host the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a ‘TRIBUTE TO AMERICA,’” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“This HUGE Celebration will honor our Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs,” the president added.
Trump also touted performances from more than 300 members of military bands, orchestras, and ceremonial units.
“With the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and surrounding the beautifully new Reflecting Pool, more than 300 Members of our strong and talented Military Bands, Orchestras, and Ceremonial Units will perform Patriotic Melodies and American Classics, and my Playlist,” Trump wrote.
“We will have none of those people who put you to sleep and constantly complain!” he added.
The event is being organized with assistance from Freedom 250, the group Trump spearheaded to help coordinate celebrations marking America’s semiquincentennial.
Organizers estimate that more than one million people could descend on the National Mall for the Independence Day festivities, which Freedom 250 described as “one of the grandest displays of patriotism that the world has ever seen.”
The rally announcement comes just one day after Trump hosted the first-ever UFC fights at the White House during another America 250 celebration event.
