During Thursday night’s Hannity, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke with Sean Hannity about Trump-Musk’s falling out, the Big Beautiful Bill, China, trade developments, and more.

“What we’re dealing with here is a major policy difference,” Hannity said of the Trump-Musk disagreement.

“That’s right, Sean. Tonight, the President’s focus remains on passing the Big Beautiful Bill,” Leavitt said. “On Friday, just days ago, the president graciously hosted Elon Musk in the Oval Office, and Elon thanked the president for his incredible leadership to cut waste, fraud, and abuse in our government.”

Leavitt continued: “The only big difference between Friday and today is Elon went back to his companies, and as a businessman, he has a right to speak for his companies. But, as president, President Trump has a responsibility to fight for this country. And the one Big Beautiful Bill is the most historic piece of legislation that has moved through Capitol Hill in modern history.”

“Not only does this bill provide the largest tax cut for middle-class and working-class families, it also delivers on President Trump’s key campaign promises,” Leavitt said, citing “no tax on tips” and “no tax on overtime.”

“This bill is a huge, monumental step in the right direction,” Leavitt added.

The Press Secretary also addressed President Trump’s recent call with Chinese President Xi Jinping; Trump called it “a very good phone call.”

“As the President said … this was a good, productive call,” Leavitt said. “China needs the United States of America and our markets, and we also have a strategic interest in China’s economy and market, as well. That’s why both leaders decided that their trade officials will continue to meet to discuss this important bilateral relationship.”
