MUSK'S RED PLANET PROMISE: 'Humanity Will Reach Mars in Your Lifetime'

World’s richest man and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk dropped an earth-shattering announcement on Twitter on Wednesday; Musk says that humanity will make it to Mars —and sooner than many people think.

“Humanity will reach Mars in your lifetime,” Musk tweeted. “Without a common goal, humanity will fight itself,” he added in a follow-up tweet. “Moon brought us together in ‘69, Mars can do that in the future.”

The tweet has more than half a million likes.

Musk has been active on Twitter, sharing updates and footage from recent SpaceX launches.

 

Last month, Musk said SpaceX aims to build over 1,000 Starships to transport life to Mars, stressing that making life multi-planetary will help back up the ecosystems on Earth.

Musk also tweeted a photo from SpaceX on the Fourth of July.
