GATE CRASHER: Tensions Boil Over Outside ICE Facility as Car Hits Protester [WATCH]

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.22.26

A dramatic confrontation outside New Jersey’s Delaney Hall immigration detention facility turned chaotic Sunday when a protester blocking an entrance was struck by a car during a Father’s Day demonstration demanding the release of detainees.

Video from the scene shows a woman waving an upside-down American flag while standing in the roadway outside the Newark facility. Moments later, a red Dodge Challenger drives toward the entrance, striking the protester before continuing onto the property.

The woman rolled off the vehicle and appeared shaken but was not believed to have suffered serious injuries.

According to activist group Visible Brigade, the protester had traveled from Minnesota to participate in the demonstration. The group told PIX11 that she was not believed to have sought medical treatment following the incident.

Visible Brigade also alleged that the vehicle was driven by an employee of the GEO Group, the private company that operates the 1,000-bed detention center. That claim has not been independently confirmed.

The incident unfolded as dozens of demonstrators gathered outside Delaney Hall for a Father’s Day vigil focused on detainees being held at the facility.

Protesters carried signs reading “Free the dads, close the camps” and tied neckties to fencing surrounding the complex. Several demonstrators confronted federal officers stationed near the facility’s gates.
