Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has stern words for the Disney Corporation: you do not run this state, you do not control this state. DeSantis’ comments were made in response to Disney releasing a statement saying the Parental Rights in Education bill should never have been passed and they will work to repeal it.
“The state of Florida is governed according to the interests of the people, not according to the political posturing of corporate executives in California. We will never allow corporate influence to repeal the substantive rights of parents in our state,” DeSantis tweeted.
“This state is governed by the interest of the people of the state of Florida. It is not based on the demands of California corporate executives. They do not run this state, they do not control this state,” DeSantis added in a video shared on Twitter.
