'YOU CAN NEVER ASK A CHILD TO GO BACK —EVER': Uvalde's Robb Elementary to be Torn Down

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.22.22

Robb Elementary School, site of the horrifice massacre that killed 19 children and two teachers last month, will be demolished, according to Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin; he doesn’t believe anyone should have ot go back.

“My understanding — and I had this discussion with the superintendent — that school will be demolished,” he said.

“You can never ask a child to go back or a teacher to go back in that school ever,” McLaughlin added.

From NBC News

President Joe Biden had also previously expressed support for the school’s destruction.

Robb Elementary will not be the first school to be razed in the wake of a major tragedy.

Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, where 20 students and six staff members were fatally shot by a 20-year-old gunman in 2012, was also demolished and rebuilt.

Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety Steven McCraw called the police response an “abject failure” this week.

“There is compelling evidence that the law enforcement response to the attack at Robb Elementary was an abject failure and antithetical to everything we’ve learned over the last two decades since the Columbine massacre,” McCraw testified. “Three minutes after the suspect entered the west building, there was a sufficient number of armed officers wearing body armor to isolate, distract and neutralize the subject.”
